So here I was just looking at the forum stats, when I realised something:
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/3475/userranks.jpg

There's no moderator rank! There's only Super Moderators....

But if there's no Moderators and only Super Moderators then wouldn't that make Super Moderators just normal Moderators, not super?

SRL members have a sense of entitlement?

SRL members have a sense of entitlement?

Moderator and SRL Member, a world of difference in terms of roles and responsibilities

SRL Members can slip up every now and then, have no real role but to show they can script.

Moderators have to be mature all the time - they represent the forum, in fact being a Moderator classifies you as 'staff', which shows their importance. They also have to deal with infracting users and managing threads. They keep the forum in tact.

No we're not, we don't have Mod powers.

I don't even know what that meant
Sorry I'm tired.

Only infract/warn, and a few other permissions pertaining to our own threads. That's it.

Now that I think of it, Senior SRL Members should be Moderators....

I personally think the boards are fine with the people that are managing them atm.

But I would I agree to some ssrl's having moderator power.

I think the balance of Mods/Admins/SSRL is perfect right now.

Well, being Galactic President Superstar McAwesomeville surely gives the right to rule the whole forum. You just haven't found the right buttons and knobs yet.

Because you get regular moderators like Harry (http://villavu.com/forum/member.php?u=4182): 'Public Scripts Moderator'

And super moderators, which are moderators at every part of the forum.

Pretty sure it originated as Super Moderator = Dev+Mod.

There used to be regular moderators but we all got promoted to super moderator because we almost got as much 'power' as admins when it comes to important decisions Ok, just making that one up, but it's true.
SSRL can give infractions, but they are NOT moderators. See them as jr mods or whatever. They don't have access to moderator boards and they can't see reported posts, nor do they have immunity from infractions (mods+admins can't be infracted, we can't even infract ourselves).

It's exactly this :)

There are mods, just no global mods (so no name colour).

I think Public section mods should have their name colored like Rainbow :P?

Whether you meant it or not, support.

I swear I have no idea who on earth these moderators are unless I see their profile, how are we supposed to go to them for help?

hey ehm, it's not like we are swallowing in work. Report button always work. (offtopic: do section mods get an email too when a post is reported? I used to get emails for that when I was srl dev board mod).

No we don't.. = When someone reports an depreciated script we get no information on that.

I don't think it was ever meant for them to be seen as actual moderators. At the time these 'section mods' were set, the scripts section was an absolute mess. The 'section mods' that you see were simply the ones who helped clean it up.
