Hey Guys,

So I am trying to help a friend out and fix his script but I am not too knowledgeable with ObjectDTM which is what he is using.

His walk paths seems to be off and need fixing (along with other things) but I am a little unsure how to do that.

Right now his WalkPath looks like this:

ToPointX := [ '71:100:8:2:1:72:143:1:7:102:130:1:7:15:132:1:7:15 :75'];
ObjDTM_WalkPath(ToPointX,1,100,3,false,true);

I am only familiar with walk paths like:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=80134&highlight=walk+path
Which only give and X and Y value and I am not sure how I would use it for this if I was even able to.

Any suggestions/help/links please?

Thanks

You need to use the tool in the include to make another path. Maybe you can find out what those parameters are but it doesn't look fun. If you have ObjDTM installed correctly there should be a menu option at the top of your simba for it and click the path generator tool or whatever its called.

Is ToPointX even an ObjectDTM?

Download ObjDTM and use the generation tool, there's a great guide on how to use it :)

Edit: the guide is in abu_jwka's sig above :P

I have got it downloaded correctly but for some reason I can not get the co-ords for the walk path working correctly. Whenever I attempt to do so it just gives me 80:0:0?

When I hit Add Path Node the pop-up closes and I am directed back to my Simba Client, unless I am mistaken I need to select a point on my minimap and then finish to get the new co-ordinate location? But I get 80:0:0 every time.

Arggghh, read my tutorial in my sig and learn how to create paths properly :)

Haha I tried reading through it - I understand gathering objects and that stuff just not walking - especially no walking further than out of the minimap (do I grab the minimap each time?).

Also.. toPointX was just an example, not the exact ObjectDTM variable being used.

You just grab the minimap once, then pick:

- Three to Four objects
- A Main Point to walk to
- An Area to walk in

Try creating just a single ObjDTM, not a whole path. Then put all your ObjectDTM's together and create a path, like this:
procedure WalkPath;
begin
ObjDTM_Walk('57:112:6:10:7:39:75:10:7:39:66:10:7:3 9:57:10:7:88:53:10:7:88:44:10:7:39:97:4:40:104:42: 119:95:118:95:104', 0, 100, 80, True);
FFlag(2);
ObjDTM_Walk('37:95:5:10:7:54:70:10:7:54:58:1:7:34: 76:10:7:98:32:10:7:99:24:5:43:78:11:78:15:105:56:1 04:66:80', 0, 100, 80, True);
FFlag(2);
ObjDTM_Walk('34:103:5:1:7:78:63:1:7:47:102:10:7:97 :59:10:7:97:47:10:7:97:40:4:18:90:23:124:57:108:57 :78', 0, 100, 80, True);
FFlag(2);
ObjDTM_Walk('26:107:4:1:7:70:99:1:7:94:82:1:7:58:1 11:1:7:106:103:5:13:91:19:122:47:122:54:106:43:80' , 0, 100, 80, True);
FFlag(2);
ObjDTM_Walk('40:116:5:1:7:66:63:1:7:46:67:1:7:42:9 9:1:7:114:83:5:7:57:46:5:24:100:27:132:56:132:64:9 9:50:81', 0, 100, 80, True);
FFlag(2);
ObjDTM_Walk('80:80:2:1:7:91:103:3:7:101:83:4:74:77 :73:98:92:97:91:77', 0, 100, 80, True);
end;

My suggestion is that you let your 'friend' learn himself, it will benefit him more.

You shouldn't try to help him with something you can't do yourself.
