I'm very new to this and am a noob, I'm not learning any scripting at the moment but am going to be doing so next year.

I keep seeing this in almost all the scripts I download: {$i srl/srl.scar}
And the stuff that comes up and near DEFINE SMART are all .SCAR's and when I change them to .SIMBA It just gives me some error.

Then I decide to delete the whole thing all together and when I run it I get another error starting at: HowmanyPlayers or NumberOfPlayers and get another compiling error.
To see what comes next I delete the line and everytime I run it I get a compiling error.

PLEASE HELP IT NEVER WORKS!

This script aswell as many other fishing scripts keep failing me.

Use newer scripts.

Your trying to use scripts that are back from SRL-4, SRL-5 is now using different extensions and other small code differences that will cause errors.

But then I get this when I use this script: SPS_Continue := True;

I use this script and get that error and I'm sure it's updated: http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=67765

Nothing in that script even mentions SCAR...

I know, I just started using it now but I get that error I just mentioned, You could've wrote help on that script instead of writing it doesn't have anything to do with scar.

First of all, your OP states yoy get an error regarding SCAR, so technically he has every write to just say 'it doesn't have scar'

Secondly:

But then I get this when I use this script: SPS_Continue := True;

SPS_Continue is not the full error you are getting. It is simply where the error is. Posting the actual error you get in the debug box will help us solve your issue.

Thirdly, any issue regarding a script, should be posted on that thread - so the script author can update his script.

SPS_Continue :=True; is from SPS1.0, remove that line.
