Syllable emphasis, phrasing connotation, some words, spelling. Accents of course but that doesn't count.

Foot is to Shoe as Hand is to Glove

Foot is to Shoe as Glove is to Hand

One of those is wrong.

English and Spanish are the original languages, and American and Portuguese are the messed up :p versions

English and Spanish are the original languages, and American and Portuguese are the messed up :p versions

Amen!
I speak English, as my native language***, I can read and write French with ease, and speak it not quite fluently, but well enough. I know how to swear like a sailor in Hungarian and Ukranian (thanks to my friends @ school) and I can struggle my way through the ingredients on a German chocolate bar.

***P.S. English in the Canadian form. Colour and neighbour with a 'u' and 'lef'tenant ftw!!!

when the first latin alphabet came out, did be argue that it was a 'messed up' form of hyroglyphics?
no, they used it because they saw it was better
thats why chat speak is the way to go, seriously, which part of this dont you understand?
i wnt 2 th dctr 2day nd sd my bld prssr ws gd.

those journalist have learn their own shorthand, which allows them to write up to 100 words a minuite, could you do it that if you write every letter and every punctuation?

and a language without vowles? its never done the welsh any harm :p
and thats why 1337 is bad, it doesnt make your words shorter or quicker to write, it only makes it more cryptic to hide from people

nothing against you Boreas, but american accents still annoy me, i just cant help it

Boreas

And hopefully in the military or College I can learn some languages.

If you want to be in the military, start learning arabic or farsi right now and you will have a major advantage. They'll eat you right up for OCS or whatever you want to do. That is why I started learning arabic.

You're pretty young, so we might be in Iran by the time you're in college, so I would recommend Farsi.

in mandarin england is ying guo ren, so if you was to ask someone are you from england you would say ni hao, wo ni ying guo ren ma? and they would reply with shi a or bu shi a or they might say shi a, wo shi ying guo ren.
