the orange is automatic notification, basically whenever window is created (i.e. if you start smart window) or any time window requests bring to front or get focus

as NKN said, restoring and minimizing will clear the unattended event notification highlight

never had this problem? i run windows with minimum graphics so maybe that is the difference?
