I'll open up my DTM editor and create a typical dtm, but saving it is another story. Nothing happens when I save the dtm. I decided to check and see if maybe there was a default save spot which would explain why no window popped up asking me where to save, but clicking "Open DTM" has no effect either.
Any ideas on what might be happening?
What do u mean by "saving" a DTM? u simply click the DTM header and choose "Print DTM" (or just Ctrl+p), which will returns a string in ur simba debug box, then define it. Learn more abt DTM from the tutorials.

I agree with what riwu posted; I'd also like to add that you copy the output DTM string from your Simba Debug and use that DTMFromString('...stuff...'); that's given to you.
I'd suggest looking over DTM guides and I'd be more than happy to help out somebody learning, here's some relative guides;
Demise's DTMs - http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77691
YoHoJo's DTMs - http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=564
Naum's DTMs- http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?p=603457
Also, final note: you can find endless helpful threads via use of the Search Tab up at the top of every page. Using appropriate terms/keywords/names to what you need will often get you desired results! Hope this helps.

Well, it's nice to know there's another way to grab my DTMs. My confusion actually came from YoHoJo's guide. I decided to watch the video tutorial which went "file/save" and through me off.
@riwu, by saving the dtm he means making it and then going to File -> Save
Not sure why it won't let you select where to save it but I guess you should print the DTM and then save the printed DTM on a script or notepad file for future use.

Yeah, it may be a problem with my computer and completely unrelated to the dtm editor. None the less, it's an odd issue and I am unsure of how to correct it.
Just curious now, I am able to print the dtm, but it appears in the simba debug box. Is that normal?
And while I'm here, this would be a typical dtm, yes?
DTM := DTMFromString('mggAAAHicY2NgYHBjZGCIAOI2IHYG4vtAsR wg1gayXwBpFSDtAsQvgWwmBuwgrG46DhkGBkYcGAIAajEGlw== ');
It's nice knowing that even with a little malfunction, I can still get work done. Thanks guys.
Yup, perfectly normal. If you're unsure what to do with what gets printed in the debug box check out the guides above.

I tried it out on another computer, big surprise! Dtms work. This computer must have a few too many screws loose.
