So I am debating whether to buy the new macbook or the air... The only thing is that I would have to wait for the 13in to come out in October... Should I just get the air? Opinions?

I own the Air. It is yet to truly be beaten in the Ultrabook market by any competitor. I HIGHLY advise you to get the Air if you are not expecting to do anything out of the ordinary with it. It is supremely portable, lightweight, and sleek. Lion truly is a bitch though, makes all Mac laptops work their butt off, and Flash is still in issue. Just keep those two notes in perspective.

I enjoy my 13in MacBook pro 2011. I am a college student, so I have files, music, pictures, etc. Therefore 500+ gigs is nice to have.

I hate mac and don't know shz, but I hear the air specs are pretty bad compared to other stuff in the market/it's outdated.

What are the specs of the air?

Wait until the new OS comes. Also I think there will add a new processors soon to the macbook/air.

Depends what your looking for really but personally I would wait for the pro since the air is just something more useful for travelling

Air and Pro have the same specs. Air is more expensive but comes with standard SSD.

Air has been the best ultrabook on the market for quite some times, with its crappy i5/i7 + ssd + thunderbolt port.

They're close but not the same also no little memory on the SSD for me, but then again depends what you're looking for

Personally I would go with a PC but if you are a mac person, go with a better laptop like a Macbook Pro 17"

my opinion - if your looking for something costly then go for the macbook, but if your looking for something better and cheaper then go for any other laptop with a decent spec.

im sure there's lots of laptops around that have the latest processors / about 6-8 gb ram you could get under £1000, when looking for performance, dont even go to apple for hardware, there OS is good but thats about it

Pretty much any laptop that isn't made by Apple. The new Intel Ultrabooks look amazing. Better specs and guess what, it is cheaper.
