If a dtm matches a picture not completely (like only matches it 60%), would it still say that its found it? Does dtm prioritise matches, like if something was 90% match it would find that instead of a 40% match? Or is it just a random go and search

Someone correct me if I am wrong but I'm pretty sure DTMs will only come back if it finds the full DTM (All the points and colors) Tolerance would be the only thing that would allow it some leeway.

Another option is using Bitmaps you should check them out :D

Based is right, tolerance would resolve color change issue, but if the item is distorted and that ur anchor points are on the distorted boundaries it may fail (hence why i dislike DTM).

Bitmaps, however, allows u to set accuracy etc (u can even make a loop for it to slowly decrease accuracy until found). Read some tutorials on bitmap (eg. http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47374) if u want to attempt it.

It will only return the x and y values if the all points w/tolerance on the DTM are found.

Having said that, it is not just a random search and go. It returns the co-ords of the first found DTM, which is in other words, how do I say it, the 'best fitting DTM'.

However, you can if you want make it return the closest DTM found as oppose to the best DTM by using the function FindDTMs. This would return all the co-ordinates of all the DTMs which you can then put in order.

I think also with DTM it'll find the first within your tolerance based on search. With out any parameters like searching from the middle of the screen first; it'll find the first one starting from top left moving down to bottom right.
