Hm, Avatar Picture?

Hello everyone, I've made this thread to ask from you all to answer a simple question of mine :D. Now, before anything, pay no mind to my post count.. lol I had made this account a while back but have only recently figured out the password! Well anyways....

I wish to know how is it that I can make my avatar appear on post and not only on my profile page. Is this a feature that higher ranks get or am I wrong?

Where: Click your FAQ tab at the top of the site. There is a box at the top left of the new window that says donate and a link inside saying DONATE TO SRL.

I believe $5.00 is the minimum required to get the Cash Cup and unlock an avatar. Any amount over the top is fine to donate also. Dont feel obligated to donate the minimum donate as much as you think you should.

Yea, so basically donate, be a Jr+ or SRL mem.
If you are just a Jr, then you have a smaller pic (Like me :( ) but if you donate it gets bigger.

What happens when you try to upload an avatar? Does it give you a permissions error? If so, PM hobbit, he will fix it within a day or two.

I'm well aware of what donating does for the community.
Some people give back in different ways.
Donating is a lazy way.
Not that I dont want to donate I am just unable to at this time.
I've been quite busy working on a few projects.

Anyway it doesn't give me a choice when i go to the avatar menu it just says do not use an avatar and wont let me click anything else. kind of odd cuz im certain that i use to have one few years ago.
when i came back i also had to reset my password which is strange cuz i never changed it.

Donating is far from a lazy way. We earn our money by working. It's hard earned money and is not unappreciated when donated.
It's just a easy way to give back to the community if you're unable to script.

I had a feeling... its OK I'm not gonna bother talking to a mod till i have reached 300 posts, it's not a big deal. Just thought it would be cool that's all.

It is lazy to pay (as a ALTERNATIVE way of contributing).
Rather than learning how to script or develop (is a way more beneficial way of giving back to the community).
If you're offended you either don't understand what I am saying or the whole reason you payed was because you dont know how to write scripts.
If you do need help with scripting feel free to contact me or many other members that will gladly assist you.

Just saying that's what leaches do, And it IS extremely lazy.
This whole community is open source for good reason... To educate in order to devote to stronger more resilient scripting. We are all here to help each other(at least that's how its supposed to be) Maybe I just wasn't being clear enough.

In no way what-so-ever is it lazy, even compared to scripting and such. Easier doesn't mean lazy. We don't do it cause its easy, we do it cause we want to and no other reason. (Plus it helps, probably more than scripting sometimes)

Does anyone know the exact size limits for each level of avatar size? I'm making one for myself now and don't want to have to mess around with the proportions later.

And size as in pixels, as well as storage size (if that is a limit). And are there any rules about gifs?

I'm not too sure I think for donator it's 130x130, but I wouldn't swear to that. I only had the donator cup for maybe a week or so prior to getting members in which I assume it would have increased again?

This I don't know as I was never a junior member. But I don't really know the specifics of which upgrades give extra benefits to your avatar or not, just speaking from previous experience of my own
