Split the file in to parts with WinRAR (IIRC you can do it with just that program) after putting it in to a .rar file. Upload the parts on to Mediafire or some other site. Download the parts and then when you have it all downloaded open part 00 or 01 and extract the file on to your own computer.

Through the network? An ad-hoc network? Crossover cables? USB flash drive?

RISK is a Super Ninja :), that would be an awesome way to do it especially if your internet is unlimited and have a decent up speed with your connection. If it's going to take to long to upload you could use the same method by maybe getting a flash drive or something or a CD-RW if you have a disc writer then just split below 700mb's. Also if your mums computer has access to the internet you will be able to Network them up with Window's file sharing etc read about it on google somewhere if they are because that would be the best method overall I think considering it's free and usually quite fast as well.

Blast I got Ninja'd twice! Dam you Sex xD

^ my moms house is six hours away, and there is no flash drive to be found.
I'll try the winrar method, and I'll tell u how it goes.

Yep dropbox is best. It will also allow you to install the driver in your pc's and you can access it as a normal drive, this way you can transfer large files, which you cannot do if you only use the web access.

Only you will need to download the installer (I believe) Your mom can just download via site.

Dropbox, is good, but since you only start out with 2gbs of storage for free (idk if they increased it or not) I'd say Google Drive would be the better option. You start out with 5gbs free storage and it's incredibly easy to make one (both are).

Here's the links for Dropbox and Google Drive if you wanna make one:

EDIT: Oh, see you already started :duh:
