Does this not work like it used to? when I open multiple simba & smarts (1 simba per smart) the simba attaches itself to the other smarts process ID, unless I start both at same time so the other process doesn't exist yet, so they each create their own smart
smart 7.2 simba 991
and is smart 8.0 the one that works with multiple simba tabs?

I believe it was Benland100 who told YoHoJo on the smart v8.0 thread, something along the lines of, "start up simba, start up the first tab + while that's running, you open another tab and repeat to run multiple smarts on 1 simba" .. I'll check and link back in an edit.
Edit : I don't recall which thread I saw something similar to what I quoted above.. But I did just test latest simba + smart and I run multiple smart clients off of 1 simba process. Plus YoHoJo is viewing, so he may have better insight.

HMm, tried that it seems to just link, I got 2 up by doing my method of starting both at the same time, I guess I could make a keyboard macro to start like 4 bots (I wanted to run just my 4 on this machine) within 0ms's of each other, unfortunately this computer is so fast smart opens up in like 5ms..
Compiled successfully in 137 ms.
SRL Compiled in 0 msec
Paired with SMART[5992]
that's what I get when starting after the other 2 are going already

I used Smart 8.0, ran a simple test script, waited for Smart to open with the corresponding first script. Then ran the 2nd simple script (which didn't have the settings saved for RS, ie low detail, sound etc.) and repeated the same steps for the first simple script. Never really bothered running more than 1 Simba at one time until now, but I'll give it a go and report back with what works in simba .991 + smart 8.0
plus it's killing me I can't find that post link, I'll try to find it

If it does work with 8.0 could you help me set it up or link me to something about this "java.exe" pathing? I read it as putting java.exe in the same path as the 8.0 plugins but I'm not 100% sure

This happened to me when I'm using SMART 7.2. After I update to 8.0, its kinda fixed, but still pair with other smart. But I have found that if I start in order sequence, it will pair with the correct smart. Whenever you start a script, it will pair with the earlier opened smart that is inactive.

hmm, I guess that's a step up because mine pairs with the active ones rofl
no worries 2 is fine for more, 7 running on one of my vms anyway (not simbas though)
will work on 8.0 tomorrow prob, any tutorials for the java thing?

It paired with the active ones when I'm using Smart 7.2, I guess its fixed on 8.0? Not pairing with the actives ones anymore for me. And I have no idea anything about java, I just leave it as it is :p

Here's my Plugins, ignore the Lj-Extra, and same stuffs reside in the .temp folder. I downloaded the binaries directly off Ben's git for smart here (https://github.com/BenLand100/SMART/downloads).

I use java 7, which the only downside I find is the flashing icon in the windows taskbar. (plus I personally have some memory problems with smart, just me afaik though..)
Idk about the java.exe thing except to allow it the first time it pops up when asking to make a perm acception to the java process. I did see people say they have to open Simba (default/original file) with Admin privilege (right-clicked), then open the script after simba's open.. I just load the script.
I'll try to end my rambling soon, but also note that I still get this: http://villavu.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1085347&postcount=66 , and I think it's just the way it is for now. Afaik it just leaves a 3-5mb file after your run time terminates (in which can be deleted after your script terminates).
I looked over a couple threads and from what I viewed, quite a few people use java 6? Idk again I say java 7 works great, for me at least..
Here's what my java control panel looks like too (give an idea of my java settings that work?)

Anywho, I'm luck if this post makes sense and I'll probably check back in the morning. Starting to feel the 'zombie mode' initiate within me.. (;

*Also noticed that for each new smart ran, it didn't carry over the RS settings... in which I had to set them all myself (again too tired to test otherwise)
Good luck,

I'm on java7 too
you have no memory problems, unless 8.0 changed it.. smart doesn't close, you have to force close it in the process, the remote stays up with however much memory it took, I had like 20 running when I realized a few gb was being used
thanks for the tut, I'll test it out sometime, and yea my icons flash the java thing too :P no big deal

Hi, just wanted to check, when you run two accounts on the same IP, won't it flag something? Or isnt it unsafe? Or are you using a VM?

VM doesn't change your IP
also no, lots of people run 10+ bots fine with no problems

I ran 30 on each IP last time. I don't think they even care.

Yea, I used to have like 300 bots (not at same time) all on same IP.. never got 1 in trouble, now I do like 20 or so on same IP still no problem

I put ActivateClient; in the script after loading smart and it works for me. I don't get that paired client error any-more when I run multiple scripts..I am still using smartv7.2. Hope this works for you too.

Just what are you botting now? :p

Alright got 8.0 up, not sure why benland said all the pathing stuff O_O smart 8.0 just works out of the box, just gotta delete the -1 from smart params

I think you might have mentioned this on another thread already, but out of convenience and curiosity, does 8.0 allow for less process per smart, for you?

yea it's a solid half at almost all times, I was doing running tests (running around in world) and sitting still with 10 at once and seemed pretty much halved compared to 7.2
which is good because benland said it should have about double the performance :P

Hey guys,
I'm running about six bots, one fishes while the rest smelt. Sometimes it works flawlessly, but other times some of my other Simbas try to pair up with a Smart window that's already being used by a Simba, taking control of the Smart window and screwing up the other bot. Sometimes it spawns a new smart like i want it to, other times three bots will try to use the same smart window. Wondering if it would help if I just used one simba and opened up six scripts instead of running six instances of simba? Just got into simba in May so I'm still learning. any help is appreciated.
