View Full Version : Could you not...
... leave behind links when moving a topic? I find it very annoying. I'd rather that topics are moved away from the wrong section without any trace of it being there in the first place.
At my old forum, the Admin actually requested that we do not leave links behind. I'm sure there's an option like Leave a link to the new topic in the source forum?, which you can check and un-check. Please un-check.
I mean how fugly does this look:

It makes it hard to pay any attention to the useful tutorials in between.
Anyway, Thanks :)

Yea it is ugly :P I have never seen a forum software that didn't have the option (a lot are default to not leave a "moved: topic" behind
not sure about vbulletin but as a paid forum it better have it!

"moved" is actually moving the thread. it seems like the current system should be called "coppied to correct section" . i would agree: overall it looks sorta ugly. good suggestion

Well the way it's done is just a link to the threads location where it was moved, in most every forum software
I try to never leave those behind as I think they clutter up the sections ;)
e: Got rid of all those redirects :)

I always leave them behind, to lesser confusion.
The ones I leave will either disappear in 1 or 2 days, depending on the most recent post date.
