Modem power adapter lost

Lost a zyxel p-870nh-51b 12V 1A power adapter. Bought a 12V 1A ac-dc adapter but it doesn't fit in the hole.. any ideas on how to proceed?

How did you manage to lose it? I'd suggest looking on eBay, you might be able to find the correct cord, or atleast something that will fit. Look for something of the same of the other cord.

I didn't lose it but my mom did and I'd like to use internet in her house too :/

head to radio shack and see if they have the plug itself. Then it's just a simple matter of soldering on the plug, making sure you have the right polarity wired up.

You might be able to get by without soldering, some of the radio shack plugs are solderless (AKA garbage) but it'll get you by in a pinch.
