I will start with some basic skills work my way up to the more advanced skills
----
Why train cooking: Honestly it is useless, you can buy the food you cook for far cheaper 99% of the time. Train the skill for total level and for a skill cape as it is rather simple.

Methods of cooking that I will describe in game:
Cooking on range
Cooking on bonfire
Cooking with jugs

Description of methods:
Range, very low chance of burning food but often hard to come by with ease to bank
bonfire, they give extra XP but chance to burn is higher (GO TO W100 SHANTY PASS)
Jugs, this is the wine method (the fastest, but the most expensive method)

Items required:
Cooking gauntlets from the family crest (Helps to stop burning of food/waste of money)

What should I do level by level:
1-20 Shrimp (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
20-40: Trout (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
40-50: Salmon (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
50-68: Tuna (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
68-81: Lobsters (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
81-90: Swordfish (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
90-94: Monkfish (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)
94-99: Rocktail (Shanty Pass Bonfire w100)

I expect you to use this calculator to get the exact amounts ALWAYS leave some extra in case of burnt fish
http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=cooking_calc.htm

Total Cost:
Aprox 22m at current market prices (This means not selling back)
There is often a small profit margin when selling back rocktails (Check GE)

Alternate Method:
The fastest and most expensive way is to make wines
40-99

Requires
35 Cooking
Grapes
Jugs of Water

1. Withdraw 14 jugs of water into inventory.
2. Withdraw 14 grapes into your inventory.
3. Use grapes with jugs of water.
4. Put everything in bank.
6. You will receive 200 exp per wine, 375k xp/h
7. Repeat.

Required wines for 99: 65k

Cost of wine making:
37-40m depending on the price of grapes when bought

Cooking sharks is a better alternative for people with a lower cash pile. Using Ashaman's Rouges Den Cooker, I averaged 260k xp/hr using sharks. I was also able to make a small profit.

Rocktails are better for the price, you make profit (or you used to)
