View Full Version : Other forms of contribution to SRL

Feeling that I should be contributing in some forms, I would like to ask about ways of contributing to SRL other than scripting, helping people with their scripts. I have failed to grasp the concept of scripting multiple time. Hence, I feel that I am a leech in this community.

Monezz :)
You don't have to talk/help in scripting only. There are many things we do here, including debates/talks about life, computer fixing, competition, graphics, life problems, philosophy etc!
The sky is the limit...And even that is pretty low :P

You could make tutorials about some relevant things if not scripting concepts. Or check out this

Well it's very difficult to write tutorials or aide others with their scripting if you are not able to script. You can always offer services with things you might be good at like graphics, movie making and so forth. You could start forum games in the NOTA section, or anything else that might fall into a strong suit of yours that could be of help to others within the community. I don't really know you so I can't tell you what will work best, but I'm sure you will find something :)
Help to test scripts and provide useful and detailed reports ;)

Even with just testing scripts, sometimes I do not know what goes wrong with them. And yes I am going to donate some RSGP to the prize bank. Thank you for your suggestions Lalaji and NKN :)
I like to give feedback on every script that I use, because I know how great it is to have someone say something useful about your script, positive or negative :). So yeah, if you use a script, try to give feedback, especially if it is by a new scripter. Feedback means a lot to us :)

Yea I would say your best bet is to test scripts giving feedback and also contribute on the forums. Just be active, helpful and have a good attitude. I am in your same shoes until school slows down and I have time to write a script or 2.

Lol, I started out as a script tester, did hundreds...after a while, I figured out the basics of pascal because of it, and now scripting :)
It is also very helpful to the scripted and others that might come across issues with a particular script! Any particular skill you have besides scripting would also help in growing our community!
