Want to get one for my mom.
She's not going to do anything super special, email, web browsing, youtube, faceboo, skype, porn, you know mom stuff!

I just want a 10 inch for the size, but I don't need the best tablet in the world, just a well build and good for it's money one.

Nexus 10 is sold out everywhere (some 32G models have popped up in stores, but too pricey, and I think she could honestly get away with a 16GB model).

I'm looking into
ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 16GB
http://www.asus.com/Tablet/ASUS_Transformer_Pad/ASUS_Transformer_Pad_TF300T/

E: Actually this ASUS Tablet seems better:
ASUS Transformer Prime TF201 (idk price)
http://eee.asus.com/en/transformer-prime/features

Samsung Galaxy Tab™ 2 10.1 16GB
http://www.samsung.com/global/microsite/galaxytab2/10.1/index.html?type=find
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/galaxy-tab/GT-P5113TSYXAR
($300, sounds like a great deal?! How's the hardware and stuff compared to others?)

Samsung based on the price and my experience with the company/products seems like my favorite option as of now.

E: Ew though, comparing specs Samsung Tab is crap compared to nexus10: http://www.phonearena.com/phones/compare/Google-Nexus-10,Samsung-Galaxy-Tab-2-10.1/phones/7551,7535

Hardware/Software/Price:

Transformer Pad> Transformer Prime> Galaxy tab 2.

Just saying. Prime is the costliest, and looking at the specs, Transformer Pad is the best.

Check these two out:

Hope this helps.

I'd say galaxy a few of my friends have it and its just great, fast and fun. The asus is pretty cool but how badly do you need a keyboard fpr your tablet? Galaxy > Asus

The Nexus 7 is really fast with android 4.2. It also lasts around 8 hours.

What about an iPad Mini? I recently tried it in a store and it works really well.
4:3 is also better for the stuff she plans on doing I'd say.

I'm more of an Android guy but for your mother it might be a better choice.

NOTA and just my opinion on tablets but I won an ipad 2 a year and a half ago, it's good for standard stuff like games and all but it's just a gimic tbh I think all tablets are like that, I would rather buy a gameboy colour and play pokemon than buy a tablet and the difference would be like 300 quid lol? Not too sure on how much tablets go for as I won mine in a raffle, but that's my opinion your mums might be different I'm sure she would love one :D
