[RS07] The Waterfall raid

So an idea arose earlier (on the official RS forums) for a few players to work together to complete the Waterfall quest in RS07 as soon as the servers are up. It's become quite popular and, at this point, there's 85 pages of players signing up to take part in it.

Basically the plan goes like this:



UNOFFICIAL PLAN:
1) Complete tutorial
2) Complete first half of stronghold of security (to ensure you don't die, you only need 5k or less)
3) Go to draynor, talk to Ned and buy 2 ropes
4) Go to Port Sarim, buy any runes you still need. (quest requires 6 air, 6 water and 6 earth runes).
5) Charter to Catherbery for 1k
6) Buy cakes in ardy or buy stews in seers.
7) group up in world 27, and begin.


The advantage of the swarm of players is there's less chance of dying during the quest if here's a mass number of players running through the NPCs; the method is comparable to the current LRC. Upon completion the quest gives:

13,750 Attack XP
13,750 Strength XP
2 Diamonds
2 Gold Bars
40 Mithril Seeds


That's level 30 in Attack & Strength, a very solid start for the old-school PKer or just a main in general, not to mention a good amount of wealth to put towards some gear/food.

If I'm still awake when the servers are launched I'll be taking part in it. So there ya have it, I figure maybe this would be of some interest to some of you. Have fun!

Haha interesting I honestly read about this in the misc section of bodybuilding.com forums ;) There is a topic with over 2000 replies in there LOL. I have been planning to do this aswell, got quite a few stuff planned hope I didn't overlook anything :)

But.. you can get one hit by the moss giant king or however he is called in the Glarial's Grave when picking up the amulet. Worth it for the thrill!

Yes Danny, it was implemented about a year before the backup.
I bet this raid is why the SoS question was asked about.

I finished it. Luckily I was waiting up long enough for the servers to come online so the areas covering this quest were swarmed. It was just a massive train from Catherby to Seers to Baxtorian Falls to the Gnome Maze.

Used W327, lots of people doing it there.
Just finished doing this, was a pain.
Died 3 times at the moss giants. Luckily, I got the urn and banked it before going for the amulet.
Well yeah, after the 3rd try, I got the amulet, 3 people died around me meanwhile :D
It was easy at the fire giants, 4 level 30s were killing them, got reward finally!

The waterfall raid was probably the funniest most useful thing I've been a part of. Lvl 3's getting k0d on left and right. I think they still have them going on even 5 hours or so on world 327. I'm not to sure tho.

Good thing I never died. I got hit for a 9 but managed to survive :)

Got hit for:
-7 by hill giant on the way to urn, survived
-9 by hill giant + 1 from skeleton (died next to the amulet chest)
-10 by hill giant on the way to amulet (second try)
-10 by hill giant, good thing I had trained up to 5 def 5 str 1 att and 11 hp

It is still pretty crowded if you can find the right world, just finished it as a lvl 3 and it is very easy
need a bit of luck though
