Tried removing via RevoUninstaller, JavaRa, and regular Add/Remove Programs before trying to install again. No matter what I do I get this message when installing Java.
If anyone wishes to TV and help me out go ahead and let me know.
Edit:
Picture shows 6, but same problem occurs with latest version of 7 too which I'm trying to install

Why do we still use Java 6? Doesn't anyone learn from Zero-Day exploits anymore? Reminds me of the guys in my IT program that still install the ask toolbar..
Umm in-order to install Java 6 now, you need an oracle account and it lets you download Java 6 from the archives and install it. Iunno why but that's what worked for me.
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javasebusiness/downloads/java-archive-downloads-javase6-419409.html 6U41 was the last to be released.

Try Google searching for registry changes java makes and deleting any traces of java from your registry - warning; you can do serious damage if you do something wrong in your registry

Edited OP.
I don't need v6, I was just trying it to see if it would work or not, but I want latest.
have you tried this
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/regkey_addremove.xml
or
http://java.com/en/download/help/manual_regedit.xml
be careful and back up your registry first
Eh did/tried that no difference. Thanks though.

Very obvious, have you removed all java and then rebooting your PC, then trying to install it again?

Try system recovery the latest date you had Java work?
