SIMBA Bots

Yeah, chances are I could be banned or trolled or raged for posting this but I can only say this once, I mean no disrespect.

1) It seems to me that people are not releasing efficiently working bots basically on purpose.

I believe the reason they do this is so that they can make more money than others because atm gold is so expensive.

It is very clear somethings up because bottings been around for sooo many years and all of these bots have already been created multiple times.

I can hardly find a bot that does anything except maybe ashamans agility, and elfyyy's pc. To me it seems that all other bots just bug up and bug out and generally won't perform correctly for more than a few minutes.

Shoot, even RID doesn't seem to be performing optimally since it can't perform certain randoms and randoms are going crazy atm due to Jagex.

If this is because people are selling all good working bots for cash, then please, do pm me and show me where your websites are listed ( I am aware you can't buy here, don't post about that)

2) All combat bots basically are designed so that you can't make cash, it's very clear people don't want competition in gold making for fear of them dropping the price of gold.

Heck, even yohojo, (one of the most experienced scripters from my perspective), has a bot to report other bots...

I mean I understand you guys want to limit the amount of people raking in millions of gold, but honestly why is it that noone has released even 1 single thing to make decent cash. Elfyyy's pc bot is the only bot that has made me any cash.

I mean i just bought 6,666 flax so that I could use this flax spinning bot... but with it not even spinning an inventory successfully, it seems like my lucks being turned against me.

3) Am I Doing Something Wrong?

I am not the most intelligent person ever, I do suffer from minor autism so it takes help from friends and my girlfriend to figure things like antileechs or just minor things like finding what programs to download and stuff, but it seems to me like maybe you guys are happy with the way these scripts work... so is it me that's doing something wrong, if so, what? Or... is it that people don't release their "efficient bots"

Have you tried posting the errors you get in the scripts thread?? It's not about the money or the low workin scripts being released but it's because 2007 Rs just came out and the plugin, randoms ect. are being worked on. You have to wait just like everyone else for them to be completely up..Thank you..

1) It's not that people are releasing bots not on purpose, but just look at the numbers. Many of the 07 bots that are released (by many, I mean almost all) are written by people who have been here and learned the language/everything else in the last 2 months or so. No offense to anyone is meant by this, but that is a definite lack of experience and as such those people tend to not be capable of releasing as wonderful of scripts. It's a new field with new people, for the most part that means nothing will look very decent. Ashaman however, as your example of someone that is good at scripting, has been here for quite a while and is ranked fairly highly. So it's all about who is releasing these scripts. Not to mention, a lot of people use public releases as a manner of getting people to test their scripts and help them iron out bugs more quickly.

2)Combat bots tend to be designed like that because too many people have issues programming methods of looting. It does tend to earn cash and whatnot else, but the bigger reason is a lack of skill :p

3)If you want better scripts, watch the better scripters. Or learn to script yourself and you'll learn wonders. Programming languages tend to be fairly easy for the autistic people I've known simply due to the way they work being more in tune with their minds, so you should be at an advantage if you dedicate the time to settle it :)

Most of us just want the experience/lvl gain. We don't support goldfarming, but that doesn't mean that it's against any rules. If you want to gold farm, then maybe Simba isn't for you. Since the removal of anti-leech from scripts, many have released beta versions of their scripts so that they cannot be abused, for example someone will make a yew chopper but for powerleveling purposes and not include banking.

Like it was said, there are many scripts in 07 that don't quite fit the standards that they should because of the mass of new people who have just began to learn how to write a script.

I was surprised by Yohojo's bot reporting bots, but there's nothing against that. I can totally understand why you'd say beating out the competition.

Thanks to everyone for being patient with me.

I understand now that it could be a mutltitude of reasons including people wanting the economy to be balanced/the bots not actually existing yet.

The only reason I assumed the potential to create them was out there was due to the botting websites rsbots.net etc that were destroyed during a bot nuke.

I guess I figured since I see so many bots, perhaps their out there, but its probably just chinese people who created their bots and aren't releasing them.

Anyways, thanks again for your patience and yes I have tried to follow the videos etc, most bots work but just not efficiently yet.

Its been stated in the reasons above, more due to lack of experience and yes you are right, a lot of good scripts are private, or are sold, for that reason, they are good and people want them(: I have several private scripts and I know many other good scripters do as well, same way as EOC.

This was an un-needed and inaccurate statement. I know multiple people who are NOT Chinese that goldfarm both the EoC version and OSRS. I guess that's the stereotype that's been going around but it's not entirely true. Sure, Chinese COMPANIES may do that, but you can't drag regular people from China into that category.

Also, regarding the OP: At Simba, members release scripts that they have made in their time, they do not get paid to make scripts at Villavu. They do not have to release fully up-to-par scripts if it is their wish.

Also, if you have the time, try editing these scripts so they do work to the standard which you are happy with? It's how I learnt some of the knowledge I have of Pascal now.

It seems to me the majority of your argument here is based off you being able to run scripts that turn profit. You'll find that we very much look down upon gold-farming here, and if we make scripts that produce large amounts of gold in the mean time they're usually kept in the higher-up boards of the forum specifically to prevent them from being abused.

My other answer has to do with map-walking in OSR. Most good money-making techniques in OSR would require walking around in Runescape. This is a problem because while SPS and ObjectDTMs are incredibly accurate in the current RS they certain won't work as well in OSR. This is for a number of reason, a couple of which are the map angle. We cannot click the compass to set our angle to perfect north, also the minimap is not totally in-line with the angle. While the compass may show us to be at perfect north the minimap may still be titled up to 20 degrees. On top of that when you enter a new region on the map you'll notice the colors will change dramatically. Both of these factors make walking by SPS a real pain.

Yes I will admit that cash would be nice, however, not really my main focus. I just need a bot that does what its intended to do with some sort of efficiency. Randoms are expected, and understood.

I have found a couple bots that work really well however and don't mean to disrespect the hard work of this community in anyway. Those who make scripts are the people who add the backbone to this website and I don't mean to insult or disrespect them.

I do understand that goldfarming is frowned upon. However, I can't even really get a bot to fight things with small impact on the community.

Alright well what kind of scripts are you looking for specifically? Preferably none that are directly related to turning profit. If it's an auto-fighter you want I can probably release mine that I used long ago.

Well yes, anything to raise hunting, spin flax, kill chickens lol just about anything to raise stats would be killer.

Idc if it hunts chinchompas then throws them at other chinchompas to get rid of em. I don't mind not getting the cash.

I dont release my private scripts beacuse it would completely fuck up several parts of the game.

For everything else, Villavu community is all about learning to program by making bots for a game that is otherwise a pain in the ass to grind. l2script and all your problems will disappear :D

Most live-game scripts are allright, there are scripts by non-members that work like magic.

Quality is worse in 07 scripts because they all seem to be rushed.

They are rushed. OSR has only been out for a few months and OSR-SRL is still being put together, really.

You cant forget that people don't know how to walk other than SPS which as others have said its pretty bad in OSR.

you could perhaps post the errors and hope they get fixed or maybe stop f**king leeching and learn how to code yourself to a stage where you can spot and fix bugs

hey, man. I just wanna say thanks anyway for posting, but truly I am surprised and so are others that I can type and talk so well, let alone bot, I am probably never going to reach the level of coding although the more scripts I use the more I study the bugs and coding.

Oh but you will, you just have to want it enough. Take my word for it, make a single script that does something quite simple and when it works correctly for you you'll have a big burst of joy, not only that you've created your first functional script but that you've hit the stage to where you can create on your own. This will motivate you to continue and you can only improve from here.

I can confirm the big burst of joy thing, not only do you get one when you first make something that works, but you'll get another whenever you try something new and have it work :D

We all gotta start somewhere :) I was super fail scripter - I even failed on my first app!

HEAPS Of scripts work...

You should try creating a simple woodcutting script.. It'll take like.. hours... but..
Once you do it.. You can pretty much start to fix up scripts when they dont work n stufff...

But umm.. YEAH.. That flax spinner.. isn't very good..
Though.. if you just find the numbers where it clicks the spinning wheel.. and change them. it'll end up working n clicking on the spinner...

Hi, Thank you for your Post!

I understand that I came off as a little unappreciative and I do sincerely apoligize for that.

I personally understand that because certain scripts will truly devastate the game more than it currently is being affected.

I do however plan to purchase, or in SRL's case "donate" for the first script that can kill desert goats in nardah and bank them. Since the banks 1 foot away with no stairs or obstacles it should be pretty simple.

I understand that most scripts can't be released to the general public, however, it could be released to a select few. Although I have attempted to edit scripts and such, I suffer from minor autism and that really does affect my ability to really understand how to add code. I understand what coding does, however, I don't really comprehend the algebraic ties to coding (at least thats what it looks like)

To everyone else: Ok, seriously guys. I understand this fellow AutismBot isn't scripting and he isn't exactly making attempts to. And over time, that attitude has kinda turned most of us off to these people as inherent "I deserve the world" leechers. However, this guy here is ridiculously polite. He's taking insults and everything else and turning around being extremely nice in return.

Granted, he may be a leecher with no intention of learning... But he's definitely the nicest one I've seen around, so perhaps a few of us could be a tad nicer to this one instead of being meaner to him than the ones blatantly acting high and mighty as leechers?

Hey thanks a bunch for your post.

Yeah I do try to edit some stuff but sometimes it can be really frustrating. I feel like if I knew Simba's limits and commands then I could easily write a script.

But for me I see what the commands people enter actually do, but as far as learning to just free hand type a script out, its really impossible with me unless I had a list of what commands do what. Otherwise im not sure where to begin.

Most people come here and use Simba because they like runescape, but do not want to spend the ridiculous amount of time doing boring repetitive tasks like high alching or mining to get the levels required for the games content (quests, minigames, etc).

Although most of the leechers (me included) probably do have some basic understanding of scripts and coding in general, there is a big knowledge difference between being able to spot some incorrect/silly values or a misplaced if/else, and being able to create a script yourself.

We aren't all idiots (but I am, I spent 10 minutes stumped at a cooking script when I just forgot to set my xp tracker to cook :v) and I really dont like it when people treat others differently because they aren't interested or good at scripting. I am mainly talking about you ixtowelie, the elitism seems to drip off of you in liters. I do find it funny though, that you are acting elitist just because you created a primitive tanner with help of the IRC. Not exactly a dung script :v

Ignore the trolls! Also the reason why banking support isn't offered on many public scripts is because of people who come here and don't contribute to the community, they just literally copy and paste the script and hit run.

On something like a gold mining script if everyone was to do this the price of gold would drop meaning the script would basically be useless as it wouldn't generate any revenue.

Because everyone has time to code between a full time job, sleeping, community commitments and a social life, right. Right? And after working I dont want to sit down and code (aka work) and I dont want to get lectures from an underage dyslexic kid about how knowing coding makes you the bestest of the best 360 no-scope MLG guy.

Im not saying you have to code , but if u want to its a better option...
