They are mostly for cosmetic uses.
F2P players can get the ore, but they cannot get the diamond. The diamond is members only.

I think ey are pretty cool looking :D But they have very little use fr actual battle and e ore is expensive to buy from others from what I've heard.

I made one and no, they're not worth it. They look kinda neat, but they're worse than weapons that already exist.
You can trade the ore in for xp so I wonder how much mining xp/h that would be by mining at rune essence mines and dropping the essence...

Well at 80+ mining/smithing it's 5 mining/smithing xp per ore with a max of 20k ore exchanged per day. So that's 100k free smithing/mining xp on top of the mining xp for mining it. I'll make a script when I get home and the proggy will tell me how much xp/h it is :)Quote:

When you make one of the weapons you can right click on them to change them between tiers 1, 20, 40, and 60, which changes the stats and requirements. They have something like 90% of the accuracy and power of other things of their level, though :/Quote:

Are we sure the diamond we need to make the weapons is members only? I mined one on my f2p pure account earlier and so it cannot be members only. The wiki page says it is but does anyone know for sure?
I've mined alot in f2p but haven't got one yet.. In SoF it's member's only and there is no use for it in f2p. But I think it's mineable in f2p ;)
