Would this work if you were on diffrent networks?
If so this seems fun because at my school my cluster has a laptop for everyone and at the end of the day you are suppost to leave the computers in a laptop shelf. I could look up all the network names, write all of them down and do it in the middle of class and BOOM shut all the computers sutp down how fun would that be. Then if I get cought I could say it was for entertanment purposes and then who cares what happens next.:cartman:
Looks like this became pretty popular. I'll be checking it now. I took a 3 month break.
At my school cmd is locked but i went to system32 and ran it. then i got a message like "the use of command prompt has been disabled by the admin so go kill yourself" or something, so i copied my cmd.exe and brought it to school and still got the same message, any ideas?
It is hard to get their computer names.
I tried using it thourgh my neighbors wireless but didn't really work. I go to college and LAN is also used their so dunno if it willw ork their either. Still funny though, I will try and see what happens.
Frog, you have to be in the same network as the other person. You can't be in different networks.
yea you can do it with stutdown/a as well to shutdown your own, which is good because u can change icons on peoples desktops
forgot to mention that you have to delete the old icon :D

It doesn't work for me. It only works for the computer you're on. I can remote shutdown my own computer this way.
At school, I know the admin password, so I log on and then I have the other computers names. I get the computer name from right next to me, but when I try to do it, the command console freezes and then stops responding. It doesn't do anything. Its definitely on the network for sure.

that will still work just remeber the name or write it in a notpad then do it
Wow. thanks for this man. you can also use the cmd " nestat" a lot of different ways to get people's ips and do some other cool stuff. :P
