Help with memory...
Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Unbuffered System Memory Model KVR400X64C3AK2/2G - Retail
I can buy that for $165 dollars from Newegg and it would max out my mother board...or i could check with my uncle and see how much 2GB of ram is at OEM cost and probably never get it. Is $165 a good deal for this?

If any amount of RAM maxes out your maximum amount on the motherboard. KABOOM! lol jk. the motherboard may fail and you'd need a whole new computer, or it just might not start up.
nope not a good deal

The only reason i posted was because its too late to bug my uncle or someone at the shop and get them to tell me the at cost price and get an opinion... and i've had a motheboard fail so maybe ill get get an additional 1GB

actually, that might be the exact same ram i'm getting. First, check newegg for some 200$ ram on sale for like 150. you can get some really nice stuff for cheap on newegg. O, and make sure you buy on friday - sunday because they have "weekend sales" where you can get some good shit

The only thing is my uncle owns a small computer shop and i have the "Family special" so im going to wait to see how much it is with him... :/
