This phone could be compared to the Galaxy SII or SIII. First off only the version of Aura with 2GB RAM is worth buying; nothing running a quad-core (or higher) CPU should have less than 2GB RAM. The MTK6582 CPU has a max of 1.3ghz and comes with the super old Mali-400. Those of you who don't know, Mali is the cheaper brand of GPUs and, performance-wise, falls behind of Adreno and Tegra.
Here is a good benchmark of multiple mobile GPUs including Mali-400.
Actually many of the MediaTek octacore phones are around that price. There's the
ulefone Be Pro that has a 64-bit 1.5ghz quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, Android KitKat, 4G, 13/8 mp rear/front cameras. And that costs $160 but only has a 2600 battery.
Then there's the
Kingzone N3+ which has similar specs with the one above but with a much sexier design. The cameras on both are the same cameras used in OnePlus One.
So honestly if you're going to buy a phone for that price, buy something with higher specs.
