JaGeX, you've all heard rants about macroers right?? And WE all hate them right?? Well, I was watching videos of some of the software they use (No, I don't use it, why else would I be ranting?)

That means like getting a chicken or something while using that macro to cut yews. One of them said to run away when first attacked. I started looking stuff up, and I found the reason WHY it can do that.

Codes.

EVERY site has codes in them, every page has codes, the GAMES have codes, this game is made on Java, which is just one huge pile of.. Codes.

Want to know HOW they know if they are attacked? The macro software knows the codes.


So JaGeX, instead of saying you CAN'T stop them, stop enjoying that extra cash and start changing the codes so they don't know!!!


Also, I looked up even more things, it's not like spyware stuff where it knows keypresses, it can't look at when you are attacked ALL the time when playing RuneScape, so it is codes.

But what I think: JaGeX only ban these people so then they can make another account, so THEY get more money. How else did they reach 1 million members? More than half are macroers I bet.

JaGeX, CHANGE THE CODES!! They will figure it out again, sure, but change it again!! If you can't becaues it's a "Free" website, use some of that 5 million a month to pay them to change them!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, I love it, RSDEMON and Ibot would be pretty screwed if they changed the code every so often, but srl is soo leet, its virtually undetectable, because all it uses it colors :P.

I really do like how he blammed jagex for being lazy about all of this, whitch i agree that they are. He's got balls.

Wow, that guy doesn't seem to know what he's talking about, but he sort of guessed quite closly how RSDemon works :) SRL and SCAR won't die as long as there's scripters, way different with RSDemon or other client editing bots or whatever they're called.

That guy is weird.. "OMFG! ITS THE CODES! THE COOOOODES!".. *sigh* Maybe jagex can't "change the "codes" " so the macroers wouldn't be able to "USE THE COOODES!"...

It can be a little frustrating for Jagex to change the engine and stuff every week, lol. :)

Anybody else take this as a sign of Jagax knowing it's imperfect and screwed? They also have a thread for ranting about the censored words. For the record, the word "stalking" is censored. Meaning, someone could have this kind of conversation ingame.

Think about it, they are trying to convince people that macroing doesn't exist. Sure we've been a pain in the ass to them but I don't think they really care that much, hell I think some people pay for subscription just to get away from free player worlds. In their world cheats EARN THEM money... and the people working there are just doing their job, they don't really care either, they just want to go to work get paid then go home there's no attachment involved nor strings attached...

Rule 15(or w/e number isnt used yet). Not complaining to use about macro problem. You can report them but after that...SHUT THE HELL UP, WE DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT.

I dont get how kids can take runescape so seriously. And i never got how anyone could here about cheats and not think its a good idea to have something do the repetitive tasks for you. Who really wants to click a fake tree for 4 hours straight? the same people who have enough time to rant on a message board about "changing the code".


the only way i have actual fun in runescape is when i have so much stuff that i can go pk and lose full sets of rune or massive amounts of runes, without caring.

Not it their rulebook. Really, it's up to them to ban, no evidence needed. But if they did mass-ban innocent players (is there any such thing?), then there would be no more moolah flowing in, which is a stupid stupid idea for moneys.

They can change the codes all they want, the only way they can beat SRL is if they invent a new color... which isnt going to happen.

i dont think this will affect u but what if it says:
behind the scenes july this month we bring u weather so it rains and turns 2 night and day wouldn't this screw up colour finders

We could just switch to a world where it's day and not raining

And that'd take a major amount of work on jagex's part

I'm sure they'd move off Java once they got advanced enough. Then it would be much much easier to "do whatever we do here".

But until then, they can't make RS too advanced, or the 3rd graders will get confurzed.

RS move off java?

I doubt it...they'd lose cross-platformability, and they'd have to translate 18k+ lines of code (which controls 'runescript', of which there is 1m+ lines)
