All this guy wanted was a suggestion and you came in here bagging every point he made......I know lots of people who have become pro at SCAR really quickly, who's to say he can't too? and yes really quickly i mean a few days...

welcome to the forums sorry no one else knows how to welcome someone. Yes you do have to refrain from the language :p and you should probly not get to angry at what other people say and keep ur attitude clean even if the other people are not, as u have already found more people will dislike u.
as for suggestions. the second suggestion sounds good the other 2 are already member scripts.

gl, if ur committed enough and willing to learn i'm sure you can do it.

oh and members deserve the same script everyone else deserves, they aren't better people they're generally better scripters :p

I wasn't dissing him. I was just telling him that he'd probably fail with such a hard first script. When JAD gives people constructive criticism, they think it's abrupt but they soon find out it isn't...I might have been abrupt because I tried to compact it into one post.

You do realise Rk that I haven't really dissed him at all. He's the one that's been insulting me most of the time...explaining all the symbols...

he said you will fail miserably. This isn't dissing him, simply stating fact. Ask any Scripter, look through chats between scripter and new guy., EVERY scripter will say the same. And all i did, was tell him to back down. and you say im a dick?

Yes you can actually write these scripts depending on how fast u are at learning SCAR after a few days of heavy reading. now i've got no idea how quick at learning he is he may be a god damn genious for all i know. why not just say "well it could be tricky with only a few days of learning but gl"

Hmm...rkroxpunk...you probably know gsquare567. Not many people like him on the forums because he thinks he's such a 1337 scripter because of a pay script. This is basically the same scenario. AcTools user thinks he's an awesome scripter

you need to actually use it b4 making any remark.
try 50k-100k-sometimes 200k lines rather than 3k on scar.

on much more detailed games mind you.

i don't need to use it. Its all key strokes. Writing it (not that hard. just take a long time...)

Rk i simply came to this thread because he was flaming a fellow SRL scripter who is in fact a friend of mine like you are.

If Santa says GL then he'll jsut go on try to make the scritp after 2 weeks he'll say this scan thing is stupid too hard and lose interested.

if it was contructive critisism, sure go ahead but that wasn't. saying someone will fail miserably even if it is most likely to be true is no way to welcome someone who's eager to script. Santa said that it will just make him want to script less, well so will that comment. why not let him see what he can do rather than being told what he can?

do what? and stats are coz i came back to srl about 2 days ago... only thing i have run is a tut island runner for my auto army...

Now you know what I mean Rk?! Firstly, he thinks he can make a flawless script that's like one of the hardest things to be attempted. He then makes a bet with an SRL Member that if he makes the flawless script on the first try, that Jagex has to leave...

Should I start the timer and stickie the topic? Personally, I think this is all rather funny...
And by the way, I did check out ACTool, looked over the source, tested out the program, even read the manual (which is a rare thing for me to do), and frankly, if you think that Scar is anything like ACTool you are in for a rude awakening. ACTool is amazingly simple compared to Scar, 'nuff said.
(As a warining, trying to "own" me is generaly not a safe thing to do :sasmokin:)
