How to Download Srl and Scar!

Welcome to my first tutorial :D Hopefully you will learn how to download both Scar and Srl. Also learning how to set them up properly.

If you use this guide Please DO NOT leech off other peoples scripts! Live to Learn!

Downloading

For some reason to most questions asked here at this fourm are questions about downloading...

Scar:

To download scar you need to got to Freddy1990's website (the maker of the Divi Scars) here
Now scroll down and go to the latest version and download it...

Save it to your Program files... Like C:/Program Files...

Open it and follow the simple instructions
You will get a Scar folder that looks similar to this

You can now open that folder and click the scar icon to open the scar program.

Srl:

To download Srl you will need to make an account and have more than one useful post...
Next you will scroll down and go to the Download Srl section of the fourm located at the top.

Click on the newest Srl by looking at the news scroller and the download threads...

Now the hard part... Click the download and save it to your scar folder C:/Program Files/Scar

Next you need to extract all the files from the Rar compiler. Right click and click Extract to Srl.
Note: If you need Winrar, click Here

It will start extracting and it will come up with a box like this

If a box pop up click 'Yes to all'...
Now you have downloaded Srl

OR for Divi

You can also download Srl in the Scar window.
First you need to open your scar window and go File->Download Srl

Then wait till it says this in you Debug...and you'll have srl downloaded.

Setting Up

This step is the most forgotten and most asked about.

Scar:

Open Scar by pressing the scar icon and go through the Mini-tutorial. Read It carefully and remember it :D
If you need help with scar just press F1 or the option Help.

Srl:

Go to your srl folder and go through the folders C:/Program Files/Scar/Srl/Srl and click on SetUpSrl.

Run this program by pressing Play

It will come up with a form that you can fill out...

Then press Save Settings.
Now you have set up for srl and you're ready to go auto away :D

Just remember:

SCAR Code:

program New;
{.include SRL\SRL.Scar}
'Have this at the beginning of your script'
Begin
SetUpSrl;//And this in your main loop

i am getting line 303. i fixed all the includes and everything by copying and pasting a little bit, but it's just that one part...

You included everything I needed to know so I can confidently move forward (and I didn't feel like a moron once!) I can't wait to learn more; my mind's going wild with ideas for useful autos, but let's not put the cart before the horse. Thanks again!:D

You need to delete all Srl in that scar folder and start over... Also try using the Divi Download of Srl :D (for all who want to know Freddy1990 added Srl 3.81 to Divi)

why do i get this message when try to run the setupsrl.scar?

Those are the Instructions If the look like this:

... Just follow them and press the green triangle to start the script.
Read this Tut by WhoCares357 if you don't understand the Scar Module.

I'd recommend that you download Divi. 3.06 works best for right now so I would down load that and the newest version. My reason is because most scripts are updated to 3.06 :D

Ty so much this is a awesome TUT!And the link to get winRAR extractor was genius lol i couldnt open the SRL before without it that solved my newb problems!:D

i barely get it i followed the steps it didnt work...
and each script i try to run says slr some files r missing

I would start all over... Delete everything you downloaded and start from scratch. Follow the steps exactly and if you get an error copy and paste it here and I'll tell you what is wrong :D

hey, when i loaded it, it just says, the file is corrupted get a new copy. what should i do? would i have to get a less updated version?

doesnt work (obviously) when i download it, it comes as a .rar file so...:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

Like it says get a new copy... I would get both Scar 3.11 and 3.06.

Hey, thanks a lot. First time user here and got through it with no problems.

If i download Scar 2.03 from freddys site than i get a trojan :mad:

freddyies site has no trojans or viruses dude.

Try downloading Scar 3.11 Divi at Freddy's website :D Then download Srl 4.0 beta and read a different tutorial for how to install 4.0 beta because I'm still working on it ;)
