Auto WOODCUTTING for Noobs

Okay, so, you want to know how to create a Woodcutting army and make tons of cash, right? Well, you are at the right thread. :)

Requirements:
-Different SRL versions
-Basic knowledge of Scar. (very basic. like just setting up a script)

PreSetup:
-Download all of the required Scar and SRL version from http://freddy1990.com/

Step 1: Creating your army...

To create your army you will need these scripts:

No SRL! [SCAR 2.03] Ejjman1's Account Creator - http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9698
SRL 3.7! Nielsie95's Tutorial Island Runner - http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7989

Download and open both of them in separate Scar windows.

Run Ejjman1's Account Creator and customize the settings as you wish.
NOTE: If you don't want the account creator, you can make them by hand!

With the account creator/yourself make 8 accounts. Make the names all different from each other. Don't make the names like Born2coderox1 and Born2coderox2. (even though those are VERY good names! :D)

After you have your 8 accounts, go over to the window of Scar with the Nielsie95's Tutorial Island Runner.

Once opened, fill in the setup then run the script. This should take your players through Tutorial Island. (h) Once finished, continue to step 2.

Step 2: Starting off with your WC army!

So, you have your accounts and they, well, suck right? Right.

MAKE SURE THAT YOU LEVEL UP THEIR COMBATS! You can do this manually or use this script:

Now you will have to improve their Woodcutting levels up. To do that, I recommend this script. (made by me!)

Setup the script and run it. Woodcutting, the script name, should take your characters from where they leave Tutorial Island to a place to chop trees. From there, it will chop the trees and then drop the logs. The reason it does that is because you just need Woodcutting experience.

Let this script level up your chars. (maybe overnight) until they are all level 30 WC. If this script does not work well for you, try this script:

Once all of your players are level 30, continue to step 3.

Step 3: Willows all the way!

Now that you have done that, walk your players to the Draynor Village bank. Have axes equipped.

Download this script:

SRL unknown [DIVI] SecetCutter - Draynor Willow Banker - http://www.villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11813

Or, if you have lvl 3 players, don't use SecetCutter, they will die against Dark Wizards.

Try this script:

Set the script up and run it. This should work for overnight. It even has a nice progress report that is above your screen! :D

This step may take several days. Let it run overnight every night. When you wake up in the morning. Stop the script and reposition your players. Start it again.

Once players are level 60 continue to the next step...

Step 4: The Yews!!!!!!

Wow. You have made it to this step. Give yourself a pat on the back! This has taken you a long time, but you have done it! You have reached level 60 on 8 accounts!

Alright, so, there are several different approaches to this part. I recommend cutting Yews in Varrock. Here is a nice script for that:

Setup your players and run overnight! :D

You should wake up in the morning with roughly 1.5k Yew logs! Sell them for 300 each in World 1 or in Camelot on a member account! But you can sell them to me if you want for free? Anyone? No? I thought not. ;)

After doing this for several days or weeks, you will get more and more Yew logs because of your level. So, the money is only going up!


Step 5: The finishing touches.

-Always have your players with a 10+ combat.
-Post progress reports and feedback for EVERY script that you use.
-Be polite around the forums!
-Post and be active!

Also, because of the many RSDemon users, Yew logs are getting harder and harder to get and the prices are low. :( But, WCing is very easy to do and that is why I recommend it.

Definatly before using your script, level up the characters. Or else I will personally report you and hope you get banned/ run botcatcher in that area, just to catch you.

Add what 3garrett3 said to your tut and that if you use those or other script to post progress reports and suggestions... In other words not to promote what leechers are doing.

If you add both of these thing to the Tut it will save a lot of trouble for the people that use this tut and for the people that make the scripts :D

Well, thanks you guys for appreciating the tutorial.

Srry, Kinda of a noob at all this army stuff and what not.
But why do we need to make 8 players when only 1 is going to be getting all the stuff?, Do you spose to have 8 players farming at the same time or something? and if you do how do you do it lol? sorry im new to all this stuff.

Well, when you run a script, 8 players should be a good amount in case something happens to 1 player overnight, it moves to the next 1. (or if 1 gets banned! :D)

SRL rules state that you need to have players above level 20 combat :)

In SCAR, go to File -> Download SRL to download the newest version of SRL (you have an older version that doesn't work anymore)

This tut was amazing! Nice the way you specify scripts. Only one suggestion: put the version number of scar needed for each script because i dont know which version to use with the PS WILLOW WHACKER and i really want to use it. Thanks for the tut!:D

hey i need the willows all the way script plzz i have a lvl 34 or 35 wc and its a lvl 13 combat and i cant access the web page with the script idk y i cant get to it but ohh well can u send it to me plzz im tryin to find 1 thats easy to work cuzz i got 1 that cant find the colors on its own and its confusing with the intagers and bitmaps and all that its confusing

Oh come on, having a program that automatically reports/bans all the dumb level 3 autoers- that would be great. I'm tired of walking past South Falador and seeing dozens of level 3 default clothing bots whacking away at the yews. Anyway, great wc-ing tut, hopefully my bots won't get banned this time around.

from what i can see very in-depth and easy to understand. gonna try it out once i can access the other scripts. i'm currently using another woodcutter and leveling 1 character, but its a cut and drop. i don't really understand why some scripts logs out after like 5 minutes... care to explain? does it have something to do with jagex detecting a pattern?

Quick question upon reading this tutorial. I have tried autoing in the past, and just had no luck at it, and yes, I am a noob when it comes to this stuff because I cannot code and I have no clue about what to do when it even comes to coding them. Which is why I wish to learn.

In the first part of the tutorial, where you download the Account Creator and the Tutorial Island Runner, those are unviewable by certain members on the forum due to a lack of permissions on the forum, so those scripts should either be moved, or somehow allow us to download them for this tutorial. If not, then this tutorial is a waste to some of us.

I would like to learn and get autoing, but unfortunately i can't due to the changes that have taken place.

this is a very well made guide, i don't like it when people use colour in there tutorials tho it make my eyes hurt.

Well it is very well explained with links to some nice scripts. i would sugest getting 40 attack so that you can whiel your rune axes etc... and it will give you some nice cmb lvls so people dont think you are to obvisly boting with a lvl 3.

You may want to add never use the defult player settings that just screams bot bot.

You don't have permission yet because you need to first post 10 (non-spam) posts within the time span of a week. Search for "How to become a Jr. Member" and "How to become a Member" Those two tuts. will surely give you what you are looking for.

It's too bad that you think it's a "pain in the ass". To be able to get the scripts you have to contribute to the community. By saying "I just want to be able to get my scripts and set up my macros and start making cash..." it's evident that you don't want to do so and just want to leech. Well, there's the "Free For All Scripts" forum section for yeh, but for more then that, you have to contribute.

I've not built my army up due to not being sure how to go about it. I'm setting mine up manually so that I can get out there with decent names and look inconspicuous. Looking in here, i've not been doing it correctly. I've read through the manual and i'm still a bit confused about scripting. But i'm ready to learn. If someone has a better manual for a simple mind like mine, I'd love to see it.

Good tut I'm basically posting here for personal future reference.
I think personally think players who auto at lvl 3-10 are lazy but they could just want the wc level fast or something but it is not safe my autores are at least lvl 25 before i start to auto with them.
I don't think this is out of date because on the first post towards the top it has a link to download the different versions and such, but i could be wrong.

I hear a lot of auto-banker scripts but what about auto cookers/burners? Are the pixel and pixel detections to complex or is it that no one puts enough time into it?

Well i guess thats fair, I just made an account right now and just learning how to auto and stuff.
I guess stayin here for a week will teach me a lot of stuff.

I have just been starting on Scripts myself and havn't really "ALL THE WAY" understood it yet. This has helped me out alot and I hope it has helped out alot of "noobs" out there, although I wouldn't really consider myself as a noob...

Is there an optimum amount of accounts to have? This sticky said 20, this thread says 8, what has worked for other people?
