I have a USB mouse. When I plug it in, the red light under it turns on, but there is no mouse pointer on the screen at all. It was working fine before I reformatted my computer :(
My USB ports are working fine because I can plug other stuff in and access it (PSP, phone, etc)
Any suggestions? I went to the mouse maker's website (Targus) but they don't have drivers or anything.

There's no pointer? That's a more serious problem than a hardware one. How does the little pointer not show up? Hardware shouldn't affect that.
Drivers installed if any are needed for the mouse?.
Video Card Drivers update to date?
Video Card working?
Rebooted comp?

No clue. But it shows up after I plug in my wireless one.
I'll get a laptop on Wednesday, so I'll plug it in there and see if it's just the mouse or my hardware is fucked up

But you want to uninstall your mouse driver, then plug it back in. Seems like your driver messed up when it installed.

I removed the Mice driver from Device Manager, etc but no go. Oh well, I guess I'll get a new one :D

i agree it was a bad suggestion but since thats what initaly caused his problem it could also solve it. But yes i will makesure im more clear on what i mean next time.
Here, I tried everything you guys posted (except reformatting :)). I guess the mouse is just fucked up.
mamoth: I called it Mice driver because that's what its listed as under Device manager when you plug one in
