well im sure if this woman has this kind of internet connection has a hard drive and computer to go with it. like maby a home made hard drive, like the home made internet she has... yes you can have your own internet just how do you think there is internet someone invinted it. although it was slow it was just slow technology i bet if that man who created internet were still alive he would havE A 100 gig a second CONNECTION .dont you agree? i mean our technology is not at its peek but obviusly this old lady found a way to do it.

Actually, the Internet was created by the European Nuclear Research Centre (My translation).
It's original name is CERN and they work with particlephysics, and when the scientists who came from far away, had written a note of research, they had to rewrite it all when they came to CERN. So some technical guy created the Internet, and guess what - He wasn't even one of the particlephysics.

actually there are quite a few countries that have slower, New Zealand probably being among those, so fuck you NZ :) (Telecom is a phone company that runs a monopoly here and restricts the use of its copper wiring (Yes, old fashioned but they own something like 80% of it) and basically that slows down development ALOT, meaning staggering prices for companies that would have, what would seem like - good deals.) :DQuote:

Though you may not be able to use this all on one computer, imagine hooking up about 3 networks to this.

All the replys with "cool" "I'd want it" are pretty dumb, because like 100mbps internet connection is the fastest connection that you will need in years..
Indeed, if the dl speed is 100mb/s whole time, you would be able to dl a movie in 7 seconds with that speed.
40 Gigs instead, would allow you to download 400 movies in the 7 seconds.
Its just insane speed, I wonder why does anyone need such a speed... I wish I had even 1mb, even that is okay speed...
Yup, and 100mbps is still pretty though task for the hard drives, and who needs that kind of speeds? And who the hell has so much disk space?...

It does seem a bit 'OTT' with the whole 40 gigs but technology is improving all the time and that is just one example of how fast the world is progressing at the moment(A bit too ahead of its time), think of it similar to Graphics cards.
You have the testers constantly testing them and the game developers constantly pushing the boundaries to the point the cards will melt, THEN it's time for a new model to come out :)
And i have a we hunch the military are already on their way to making ultra pin point GPS systems using this kind of stuff, possibly making satalites record videos from the troposphere and beam it back to AP's in Real-Time :sasmokin:
