Someone who's name is takeout :)
A leecher is someone who does not give back to the community.
He/She is someone who never post proggies and does not think about anyone else but himself.
~Travis
like takeout not a joke...
oh yeah? i did most scripting at www.scar-scripts.com under the name takeout look at my posts and see
that leecher site copied my script n** if i was you i removed the link...
wow... even my old (VERY FIRST with no updates) script is there...
gee that is noob takeout, pure noob.
Basically stupid noobs that can't even read. They are often very rude, and impatient. When the script works well for them they just keep using it, only when they get error's do they post something, and usually it's really flippin stupid beyond belief. They don't follow rules, and they apply for membership by copying someone elses script.
If you use appropriate language, and post progress reports people will really like even if you are just a neeb.
Everyone starts out as leechers though. Then they change into noobs ! Finally a scripter, and so on...
i dont script.
but every script that i use i post a progress report or say what didnt work in the script.
would i be considered a leecher?
I am new to scripting and stuff etc. I don't post here much, other than just some progress reports. I personally try not to look/become a leecher because that's what ruins these communities.
Basically, a leecher is anyone who needs to post a topic asking the same question, flames, ignorant, and is very annoying in most cases.
someone who doesnt say thank you after he got a working script.
Just reads the free scripts, takes what he/she needs. Then just leaves with no show of gratitude or offer to help.
Starwind...why do you seem a bit like Solarwind to me?
As for Hermpie, will you just shutup dude? Half your posts are flaming someone else, when in all honesty, you're not any higher than them. Yes, I won't criticise the SRL Members because I'm the same rank as them. You should be the same to takeout.
blood-sucking creature, or a relative that never moves out!
Actual: a follower who hangs around a host (without benefit to the host) in hope of gain or advantage.
im a leecher, even though ive never downloaded a script
The wikipedia answer:
"In computing and specifically on the Internet, being a leech or leecher refers to the practice of benefiting, usually deliberately, from others' information or effort but not offering anything in return, or only token offerings in an attempt to avoid being called a leech.
The name derives from the leech, an animal which sucks blood and then tries to leave unnoticed. Other terms are used, such as freeloader, but leech is the most common."

A leacher is a person who takes from the community and gives nothing in return.
Me leech
Me come to forms, take all scripts i can find
Me no understand what scripts are doing
Some scripts dont work perfectly like i want them to
I flame authors because of it
I leave.
its a small, worm like animal that lives in still water that sucks blood using small, dagger like teeth surrounding its mouth
dont mind making scripts but im seriously bad at programming in any way and to prove my point i cant even get the recommended newbie essence script to work even when i use the HOW TO FOR DUMMIES so i prefer to search for info on how to make them work and rying my best. but i do remember to say thx no matter what to the author of that script
taking and not giving
i agree with ieatjoorbabies... the definition of a leecher is y o u
I jsut started on these forums, im not a leacher and i plan to start scripting myself somewhen soon.
hey ya, ive got to admit i am probaly a leecher i came here looking for a easy ride, downed a few scripts discoverd i dint have a clue now i am reading a few tuts on how to script so i can start writing my own,
edit~ was rather noobish to ask some thing like that
Its funny that most of these posts come from leechers themselves. Its like they know what they are doing and how much damage they are doing to the forums and that they are selfish and only care about themselves... The best way to learn how to script is by scripting...
and read much tuts and look through othe people scripts;)
someone who takes and doesnt give back, applies for torrents, leeches, and here on these forums.
If you just make 10 posts, stay a week, then take all the scripts you can find and leave, and flame the authors cos of your stupidity your a leecher
mmmm I would post scripts but mine are SOOOOOO basic that they wouldn't help anyone anyway lol, they'd just take up space on the forums hahaha
Only problem I have is that I joined before the change, and haven't had a chance(and time to review) to post issues, comments, how the script worked, etc. on some of the more complex scripts, and now can't access them to post the comments I had.
But other than that I like the new rules, as people should be involved, though I always hate how many ruin it for the few.(at least for a bit;)
a leacher is a nub
but if u post proggies, but don't script do u still count as a leecher.
Someone who takes and doesnt give back
Leacher a person who steals / shares scripts without permission nor give credits to the application/ program :)
lol... i was a leecher:cool: ok im not a leecher anymore ill thank ppl when ill have enough posts to go to the scripts. im such a noob
well if u use a script at least say thank you posting some proggies or bugs, post some comments, i think that thats a good way of payback for the benefits of each script....its fair....coders deserves help for their time...dont you think?
PD: ya i started as a leecher...but im learning scripting now... and i will be posting sum proggies from some scripts that i will use (not decided which one yet)
