I noticed that the member amount has fluctuated a lot... Someone doing some pruning?
That would rock. It would make people want it more. There should be more member scripts, then people would want to script more and leechers would disappear... somewhat. XDQuote:

Edit: I just looked and there is only around 5k active accounts. That is ridiculous really. Maybe members should be able to help delete unactive/low post count accounts to?
going private would impact the ad money the site generates

But going 'semi priviate' would be a good idea. For example, to register, you need an invite code from another member. Like what Demonoid.com does.

the invi things a nice idea, but we dont know many people who arent already on this site. like me!If this was and invi only website i never would have got in, i never would have got into demonoid either. Nearly half of the accs are noobs leechers and one time posters, they come from sythe or the internets, they steal the scripts then dissapear foreva.

and prunings hard like boreas says. How about a auto pruner that kills the acc if it doesnt get a certain postcount in an aomunt of time or just auto bannage if it gets enough neg rep?
Well, we could give like a months or two notice for people to apply with membership scripts - of course, then we'd get like 100 applications at once, but meh. I doubt SRL will go private anytime soon, though.
I am completely against going Private and getting rid of leechers...
Going Private would really put a strain on the money from the Google Adds, and it would also slowly get rid of many people, as we are people we commonly like and then later dislike things. Well If too many of us Dislike this and then SRL has trouble getting up to date after a big update then this community will slowly become extint, I don't mind leechers being here because they might tell friends who might want to script... Meaning maybe the next SRL dev or leader... Catch my dift?
