What are your parents like?

Are they laid-back, overprotective, are they cool, do they drool... etc! Mine are pretty overprotective, they need to know where I am at all times and always have thorough conversations *cough*interrogations*cough* with any new friends. I just had girls over at my house for the first time (I'm 13, so not really a big deal) but my parents kept on winking at me. Afterwards, the dinner conversation was about how cute they were or how great personalities they have.

Anybody else have parents like this?

my dad is OK (i'm much bike'ing with him (race-bike - like 32 km/u))

My mom's pretty over protective, other than that, I'd consider them 'normal'

I like my dad the most, he's the kind that will erhm *borrow* me some zinc/nitrates/stuff.

Yea, my parents are insane. They wouldn't let me go see the midnight showing of Balls of Fury. :( So im going tonight instead. :)

my mother is pritty normal she can do crazy but thats more funny then annoying. i dont like my stepdad he allways get angry on me. but mostenly my mother says that he need to shutup:).

my parents are pretty cool, they never not let me do anything, they always encourage me to do something(especially my dad w/ hockey), they let me go where i wanted for college(over half the United STates away), and they always want me to have friends over to go on the boat and to paintball and do all that fun stuff out at my house(when i lived w/ them), so they are pretty cool in my eyes id guess

My mom's a bitch. My dad's cool.

Moms the overprotective one. Dads the one who let you do anything. Well at least when I was younger. Now I can do whatever I want just as long as I graduate this year.

My dad is soooo laid back. And i lived with my dad my whole life until i left home last year. He is awesome, giving me rides to partys , getting me alchol, and at times even joining in on partys.

Mum is pretty awesoem aswell. Pretty much exactly like my dad. Laid back. Funny as about girl friends. Always jokes around.

Basically my family never take anything seriously.

Here's the outlook on my parents. (Sorry for the language)

My dad is an abusive fuck, since I was 8 years old. When he gets angry at his job or family, he tends to take it out on me. He makes 70K a year, but spends 30k of it on alcohol (maybe I'm exaggerating a bit, but thats what it seems like), which leaves my family then with very little money, while supporting two teenage boys. He threatens me with knives and threatens to kick me out of the house so often, I've gotten quite used to it. Though I do have many wounds from him, and some of them are quite fresh.

My mom is a whining fuck as well. All she does is whine and bitch about how her life sucks all the time, and when my dad goes on his rampages, she does nothing to stop him, only sits back and smokes. She works at a full time job, and makes about 35k a year. Spends lots of it on cigarettes.

So, I have to provide for myself. My parents don't feed me, so I usually steal food or if I can get my dads bank card or wallet, I can use that. My computer, I stole myself, in case anyone was wondering.

I could go on like this forever, but I would rather not, and I tried to restrict this to parents.

well anyways i think my parents arnt TOO proective they cerently wont buy me alchol, but thats probally just because im only 14.

No matter what your friends say about alcohol and cigarettes, it's not cool. Beer a week is good to clean your kidneys, but doing it extensively doesn't make look you cool, you make fool out of yourself and worst of all your liver gets fucked up...

Please don't use drugs, drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes, it's bad for others and your own health.

My Mom has OCD, so at times she is yelling out 50 things to do at once, my Dad is pretty cool, we go to a lot of Patriots and Red Sox games.

My parents like to know where I am and what I am doing but they never really press on past that. I had a girl and a guy come over to my house and they where fine with it. I am 14.

And since we are on the Achohol matter I have had something to drink over in Europe, where it was legal, kind of, Anyways in England we had a meal waiting for our connecting flight to Spain and they asked if we wanted anything and then I asked my Mom and she said go for it, I had maybe a half glass of beer... Nasty stuff =/.

And in Spain it is legal when you are 18 but if you can see over the bar you can get some. So I had something there, I think it was whiskey or Vodka...

I am COMPLETELY against smoking, drinking every now and then I am fine with it.

They are pretty cool and they understand me and my needs, good parents. Couldn't be better. (Unless they had 100 billion cash:redface: )

LordSaturn you sound like you have a hard life. I've never had a situation quite like yours, but I can still feel for you. I hope that one day you'll be able to leave it all behind and continue your life in peace. I know you might not believe in it, but I'll pray for you anyway.


As for my parents... they're so wierd... they scare me...

My parents are pretty laid back. They let me do my own thing and aren't very pushy about things if I don't want to do something. They're cool.

yea, my parents are kinda like yours too kik, at least with the girl part, lmao. i would like get off the phone with a girl and they'd be like o0o0o. but yea, they're alright, a little too concerned about me and school than i'd like but they make up for it.

my dad never drank a drop of alcohol since he was born lol (hes 40 something now o.O) and my mom too i would never drink lol its all nasty i guess lol =D
