SRL 4 Released.
The SRL Development Team is very proud to present to you SRL 4. SRL 4 is completely rewritten and is thus NOT COMPATIBLE with SRL 3 Scripts. The reason for this is the massive reprogramming of incomplete and inconsistent routines and the deleting of double and even tripple copies of equal functions. The good news is: We did it! SRL is clean now, fast, consistent, and ready to explode under your skilled fingers. SRL now meets our standards more then ever. But the best news is: SRL 4 is auto-updateable from SCAR 3.12! SRL 4 is maintained and distributed through a Subversion Repository here at SRL-Forums! SRL 4 is distributed from within SCAR 3.12. No more installers, unrars, copy plugins etc, SRL 4 is fully integrated in SCAR 3.12. This has great many advantages.
- If RS updates, so does SRL once we fix it (which generally doesnt take more then 12 hours at most) No more waiting for the next "official" release, just update the SVN repository from within SCAR and your are up and running.
- SRL is maintained through a versioning system. Each time we Commit to the repository, SRL's version number is incremented. You can thus tag your Script with a Version Number like this: rev#44.
- SRL can expand easily. We could commit for instance a Bitmap database of most used objects, or maybe even add scripts that will continiously be maintained and updated by the Devs!
- Working with a Repository separates the men from the boys. Installing and using Tortoise SVN requires some skills and will thus not be for everybody. We think this is a good thing. Consider it an antileech measure ensuring our future.
- There is only one SRL! Download SRL ONLY from the repository. Do NOT download SRL from third party vendors. In the evil hands of scammers SRL can potentially be dangereous for your accounts
We did it! SRL 4! It's out! Always be up-to-date! Get the latest repository from the Dev-group! Download directly from SCAR 3.12.
How-To Download SRL 4.
Download and Install Subversion 1.4.5 from Tigris. It's all SourceForge open-source, 100% trustworthy.
Download and install SCAR 3.12 from Freddy1990's SCAR 3.12 Download
Open SCAR 3.12.
Go to Options...
Click the SRL Download Tab. Select Download Type Subversion Repository.
Click Checkout. A DOS window will appear. SRL is downloading. Wait for the download to complete. Check the last line for the current repository.
Done! You have just downloaded the latest SRL for SCAR. You are up-to-date and ready to rumble!
Keeping Up-To-Date with SRL.
Manual Update.
Once you have properly installed subversion, You may manually update by Clicking File/Update SRL SVN (x->y) or File/Update SRL SVN to Revision.
Automatic Update.
You can also set update to automatic, by choosing Tool/Options...
NOTICE: Do not use the Download SRL feature. This will download only rev#1. Use Subversion 1.4.5
