It is the fault of the person who reported you as well if they are in this community. By reporting you they are harming you, and this community could quickly develop into a backstabbing mess.
If people were going to report the users of widespread scripts, scripters may chose to make their scripts private to keep them to themselves.
I don't really report them, but then again I auto with combat level 50+ accounts. I guess I pass the test.

EDIT:Actually I take that back. If your in this community, you shouldn't be reporting anyone for macroing.
The only autoers I report are those that are under lv 20. If I see somebody autoing with 20+ I won't report them. And I also report those that abuse an auto-talker (like the message is long and never gets off of the screen).
I will report ALL srl autoers who are under 20 combat but if there over 20 i wont report, but i probley wouldn't to lazy :f:
Then only people I report are lvl 3-4 baldheads, and people that annoy me to the extreme. I really don't even notice any autoers from levels 5 to like 15 cb. But seriously, if you're going to report like a lvl 20 just for autoing with SRL, then that IS destroying us. SRL can't help if it's detectable by other SRL users even if it IS way better than crap like RSDemon...

-Asian macroers take the attention away from us SRL macroers
-Jagex might use the info from the nooby lvl3 srl macroers to ban good srl macroers.

If Jagex gathered enough information to ban good autoers from poor autoers, then the SRL-Forums should not so freely hand out information.

You have been putting words into my mouth, buck cakes. If someone from the SRL-Community can clearly see someone autoing, and suspects other people may learn from that, then why shouldn't he clean up that mess?

Bullzeye, I agree with you completely. If people aren't willing to do something right, they shouldn't do it at all.
i apologize for putting words into your mouth, although i believe they were accurate for the most part.
My view is that as long as autoers abide by the rules that we, in this community have set up, that they should not be reported by the members of our own community. That would be like arresting someone for drinking when they were 21. It may not be the best idea, but they are breaking no rules.
And as far as SRL forums no longer handing out information? I strongly disagree with that. Look at you and I, both contributing members to this forum, but we have not yet made scripts. If they were to seal off the forums, people like us would never have a chance to get in.
I'm all for tutorials, but not scripts. Most of the people that come here find the site by googling something like 'Runescape bots' or 'free runescape cheats' or something in leetspeak.
What I really suggested by 'not giving out information' was making the site for a private selection, and made up of referrals, based upon reports really giving out that much information.
While I'm at it, does anyone know for sure how much information can be collected from a report? The thing says it just gives 60 snapshots, I don't think that they would try to hide that they 'discover clicks', and if you ask me, they stereotype bots. I don't think we would be found very often from 'snapshots of the past 60 seconds.'
Actually, this is getting offtopic, and it's turned into more of a debate than 'What do you think?'
SRL forums is a scripting website so I dont' even understand why people complain about bots here. It just does not make sense.
SRL prides itself on creating the images of people that become people, while iBot just creates clones, without the breath of life - just copies.

As for jagex cottoning on to the was everything works i think they may have a foot in the door already simply because whenever i run scripts i seem to get rapped by randoms 20times more than if i don't! :confused: so surely they must be picking up something....or they just hate me:mad:
scar/SRL scripts like wizzup?'s essence miner are so good i can't tell who is autoing! However, if i find someone with a mega shit script like my bonepicker one, they will be reported.
