I don't think this will help autoing or the transfering of autoed goods much. The limit to what price you can sell/buy for makes it impossible to get money/goods from an autoer to your main. So for autoers, the only good thing I can think of is easier selling the autoed goods after you have them all in one place.
If you're a legit player, then theres tons of benefits. You don't have to meet players, it's almost impossible to get scammed, and you can buy/sell very quickly. If you play f2p, you love this b/c its as good as the forums and better. But, I've noticed (while trying this thing out) that it is almost impossible to sell things for the 'average' and 'maximum' prices that Jagex set. There is almost always somebody selling for the lowest, therefore there's no point for the buyers to offer more, just offer the lowest and you'll get it in a few minutes if not a few seconds...
I think this update is really annoying. I think prices are going to plummet.
The only way to buy that even makes sense is to pay or sell for the lowest possible amount.
If you want to buy 10k iron ore for 100 gp each, you have to put in 1 mil right then. Then the ore is deposited into your collection box. A lot of that ore was probably being sold for 95 each. I'm sure that Jagex isn't giving the seller that extra money, it just goes poof. It won't take long for people to realize this, and people will only offer the lowest price.
And as Jagex said, if sales are trending to the lower end, the range will shift that direction. It seems like an inevitable spiral down for prices on pretty much everything macro-able.

Prices will either be stable or go down (a lot). In my opinion this is just a act from runescape to remove some money out of the game, make it worth more..

Sell all your goods today for the lowest possible price. Prices will drop dramatically! The only thing thats really worth something is rs-gp! I tested with 14k Steel bars. I set the price to middle (630 ea), and left it for 4 hours. No buyers! I set the price to lowest (608 ea) and *boom* sold! Same thing happened with 3k cut sapphires. Hyperiinflation is about to take place. Sell, sell, sell!
Not sure what will happen to santa's and other rares, but I am pretty confident they will drop too.

Rare's will go up, eventually... They can't be remade (only if runescape is becoming gay). All the other goods will probably drop like hell.. :(
That means rares will become rarer, and 1000 times as hard to buy...
Stupid Jagex! People are buying yews (like auto spammign and trading old fashionend way) for 400 go each yew log! :O
I don't like the setup AT ALL. It should be set up where you can actually see each individuals offers, not put in a number and buy who has it at that prices... Hate it hate it hate it.

prepare for a command economy form now on.... they have decided against the current, previous, price mechanism... letting players set their own prices according to demand and supply... but does this new thing mean that we cant trade with players on to one?? anymore??? cos if they take that option away then yes runescape just turned communist....

i think if all the prices are gonna drop... sell all you items... and then you will have rsgp... the rice of gold cant drop unless the items rise... in my opinion its gonna lead to a huge economy crash and rsgp to us dollar ratio will go throught the roof... so if you keep your rsgp youll be safe... i think this is what jagex intended to do to try and keep people from real world item trading... they are persuading people to buy tons of stuff and wait for the price to raise... but the prices will drop and everyone will lose money so what i would do is sell all your stuff now before it drops even more

I don't get the theory of the rs gp becoming more valuable. If there is a minimum price to buy/sell items and you CAN'T sell/buy for less than that minumum price then how exactly will the prices of items plummet? Can someone explain this to me.
Edit: everyone is buying and selling for the minimum price right now... so as long as jagex doesn't change the price ranges then won't all items throughout rs have a firm price?
well they will... they will then change the current min price to become the default price.. and this would keep goin until either one of two things happen
1. the prices plummet soo bad that items become worthless (not likely to go that far but things should might will get bad)
2. hyper-hyper-hyper inflation causing the goods prices to go back up and up until its ridiculous and no one buys a thing causing the prices to comeback down
basically sell sell sell now y u can.. then later on when things become v v v v v v cheap buy more things at a low price and either wait till the recession is gone and the boom happens, recession is where everything is proper cheap and boom is the opposite, when in a boom sell all u have cos u wail make the most amount of net profit...
i think for a 16yr old i should be an investment/ stockbroker adviser... lol

I think rares will be the same. I really like this update, next comes summoning.
i only like the fact that selling 27k iron ore and 10k coal has never been easier.... otherwise the price drops (instant) on rares and stuff is huge.. like santas dropping like 10 mill since the hyp started... crazy

i miss the good old like 3 years ago where the updates where cool and it was almost impossible to get all the random events and everyone i knew just played for fun....
The 2 Items thing (IMO) was just another thing to get people to buy membership.
I personally thought it was a good thing until I started reading this and it seams all of you might be right in some of the things you are saying.
