EXACTLY! i dislike it more than i like it mean people like me that have cash ( i had to liquify everything when i got out of mem although im getting it back up soon) are benifited, but people like anyone who owns armour, wepons, rares, food... its a pain because your stuff becomes worth less.. its very convienient but say you just need 30k now but the exchange wont let you sell for a little less.. or the first time i went to sell with it i put up a rbx and tried to sell for 30k but it was like 200 gp too low... :duh:

I consider the grand exchange a bad thing. Now Jagex has a easy way to see how much macroing is going on and its just a clever cover up i do kinda sound paranoid but I think using this they made the decision on the new update.

Yeah i think the grand exchange allows for a lot more monitoring, they can see the people who mine 15k essence now, or sell nothing but yews

will they start banning peeps for selling only yews or ess?

i hope not...otherwise they could really screw up the game

i love the g.e. :D all the items that where impossible to find any1 selling are able to get in a min now

it does save a lot of time from standing there saying selling xxx u know buy prices have dropped a lot :(

I used to make money by merchanting, but its a lot harder now.

Since you cant have two names on the same IP at the same time anymore it helps with new acccounts. just because normals logs sell for like 34 when oaks are like 15 and regular bones are 74.

it just sucks though because i tried trading things between my accounts with the GE and it takes like 20 mins!!!
you post something random for a low price, it doesnt sell immediately so you get on your other account, buy it but the first one doesnt get the money for another 10-20 minutes...its really gay

i just hope summoning makes up for this

i think its bad cuz of it makes shop prices stay the same i used to buy deaths for 200ea in varrock and sell for 300 but you cant
another reason is you can't sell un noted rune ess and buy it back with a little bit of gold loss when you are making nat runes you end up losing 98gp per ess so it seems pointless

from what ive experienced of the grand exchange so far it is ok, though since it has been alittle bit since last i played i dont actualy remember the prices on some of the things i have tried selling with it, though not standing around for over an our trying to sell a mil worth of pess is nice

i sell stuff on my autos for lets say 4gp then buy on main for 3gp cuz of 5%thing i make 1m per time i buy 1m stirng for 1m and sell and buy from main to auto

anyway... i hated this update lol, prices dropped for everything =( but the positive is that you can easily buy stuff now

:fiery: To tell u the truth the great exchange stinks so bad! U cant merch anymore since every body will go to the exchange to get the price for that item. I used to get alot of merching done but now im barly merching!!!! plus at the bottom of the trade window it would say how much the item ur selling for is worth! I HATE THE GRAND EXCHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:fiery:

well i really love the grand exchange, i usta hate to merch. i wud always end up buying high, and selling low. cuz i didnt want to waste time.

The grand exchange and ALL the new updates lowered the prices for discontinued rares for over 5m, :'(

The Grand Exchange for me is good. I hated just standing there trying to sell my steel bars. Now it is simple and I don't really have to waste time. The only drawback is the set prices. They shouldn't have that. If people want to sell really low let them. If people want to sell really high let them try. With the recent updates runescape has become way worse of a game. I mean come on no dropping items over 1k thats just plain stupid.

Grand Exchange is good because of the convenience of being able to get ANY item for a reasonable price almost immediately.

I think they should have given us the ability to browse through people who are selling or buying. That way you don't have to guess at what the lowest price the item is currently being sold for on your world is.

i like the exchange but like people have said it's easy to sell autoed stuff but.. has it's downs

i have a question about it if u sell say like 10873 yew longs does the other person have to wont to buy that exact amount or will it just take what they wont and give the rest back to me? cause that would take forever for somone else to wont to buy the same amount.

if some1 wanted to buy ur yew like only 5k they would buy 5 k of ur yews and it would only say the percentage sold in grand exchange

This Grand exchange isn't bad. We have somthing in our world very similar called globalization. Globalization basically removes borders allowing really cheap prices. The communist countries that don't open borders to trade are the ones with super high prices. If you want to buy something this is good for you as long as it is a cheap commodity but if your trying to sell high you have to find that item in the "communist country".

What you need to do is be one heck of a powerful char who can go get things that usually ppl can't get. Zezima would have had a blast with this cus he was 99 in all things. He could go into the wild and find the blood rune spawns or kill that big fat ant for tons of $$.

The problem now is finding that one item that no one else can get and then getting it.

Look at the prices, Dragon axe is selling for over 3 mil still. Thats a fair $. Try using macros to get to high lvls and get those hard to find things. If along the way you get 30k ess and want to sell for some side cash go for it.

We are seeing in the real world, oil prices are rising and so will certain things in this Grand Exchange just wait and see what they are and be ready to find it.

That what I got to say.

I think the grand exchange is a good thing to have.
But the 3k trade limit is quite bad.
You can't even give things as a gift, more worth than 3000 coins.
The exchange makes it possible to do other things while selling, that's a good point but get rid of the 3k trade limit!
