READ ALL! SRL and the New Runescape.

The recent update marked the end of an era. Lots of people are angry and frustrated, but we cheaters have no real reason to be frustrated. This update was directed directly to us. Jagex has done its utmost to prevent further influx of bots and RWT. I am not going to say anything in favour or against the new rules, all I know is we need a radical change of strategy. True, the profit of an army, one of the backbones of SRL, will be reduced to virtually zero if Jagex persist with these changes. But this doesn't mean SRL is dead or cheating development will stop here.

From now on we will focus more on the skill side of things as opposed to rsgp. As some of you might now, I have been working on a thieving project and have boosted on of my Players to thieving 93 without any risk. This in itself is a great challenge, and I could not have done this without SRL.

We will need to be more creative then we have ever been. I wont stop developing and hopefully you wont either. In fact it is my firm believe this will lead to more quality scripts, less leeching and a better community. All those that where in for pure leeching profit will ultimately leave, but those that are here for the community, the challenge and the fun will stay.

Dont leave us, we need you here more then ever. SRL is not dead , not while I am around.

Glad to hear that SRL is sticking around.

The army days might be over but I think with the amazing scripters we have here SRL will overcome and new ways will be found.

I now I am not of much value here, I just give some opinions, posted a bad script that was out of date, and alot post progress reports but I have been working on a thieving script as well and have given thoughts to working on scripts that I can use on my main for leveling, since that's all I've been interested in, not really gp at all.

I'll be interested to see all the developments in the next weeks as to what will be done to keep everything alive. It is a shame but with the knowledge we have here I am sure we can figure things out.

It was a battle, but then once Jagex realized they couldn't win, they nuked the entire place just so real-world traders wouldn't be able to either, and took out everyone else with it

I'm with you about not giving up. Only thing that worries me is that too many RS members will leave and they shut down the servers. F2P doesn't pay the bills.

I think this could be a huge improvement for SRL. The leechers only care about money and if that option is gone then most aren't willing to risk their mains. The ones who care and want to script and want to be part of all this will remain though. Less people will be looking for macros now though since they think that money making is impossible. This will leave just the few who truly are out to learn something and that will make the scripts worth risking your mains for.

This doesn't affect me a whole lot, I never traded to my main, only traded to my banker but I guess I can keep the money on my autoers and but things with it.

There is already one script here that would work around the system, I think.

IIRC, Rune Mule would log in every 30 minutes, claim runes, and then trade them to a mule account.

Each of these trades would pass under the 3k limit, but you could be doing this on multiple accounts 24/7.

I think it would be worth trying out a system like this for long periods of time to see how detectable it really is.

3k every 15 minutes adds up to 300k per day.

Three things we can do
1. Find a way around the 3K limit
Pretty hard to do, and well, they'll patch it.
2. Only auto for XP
No $ for us, but good XP, as we take banking out of our scripts
3. Single player approach
One player (main), auto more on it, reintroduce sleepcycles, blablabla.

Well, I too am glad that we aren't just giving up. Although in my opinion we have already won, due to the fact that jagex had to destroy the whole game in order to just slow us down a bit. :spot:

i never autoed for the fact of making money in rs. i donated tons of money here and there to several sites and its not a factor of the trading for me.

i am just really disappointed with their way of 'changing' pking, i mined to make money for my pker...now that my pker is finally of quality, 60 1 75 and 52 prayer and 60 ranged...they bust out this update

i tried the Bounty Hunter and got raped in 20 seconds by lvl 90+ armys that hit double 20's with spec and 4 of them do so that 160+ damage and i dead in 1 round...

that is the only thing that disappoints me with this update...they should make the old wilderness back, may BH a minigame somewhere else, but incorporate some BH in wilderness...like only allow food, pots, weapons and armour into the wilderness and if you have cash or anything like that have them not allow you to cross that damn wilderness wall

EDIT: This really pisses me off, just died again by level 90's! damnit....when i end up comming back to this community and scripting again, this will make me just make me make GREATER scripts to beat jagex

Well the SRL community is one of those targeted. However, we definitely aren't the primary target. Its those level 3-4 power cutters etc, compared to those we are the dust of the sand pile. If they actually put the monsters and mechanisms in to stop the lvl 3-4 autoers that would stop at least 80% of their target.

For example a monster in the area that can actually 3-4 hit them, but is only like level 5ish or so, so won't attack those 10+. (some one mentioned this I know)
Or do what we have had a script to do already. Use one guy that sits there and reports the level 3-4s switch worlds once done and does it again. And they could go much more in-depth with this concept. IE send a message to them, if they don't answer correctly then ban them on the spot. (with appeal option for those actually legit).

I'm sure there is many more possibilities but they serious are very light on banning people allowing this to get out of hand. In the end they had to do some thing like this to stop it.

All in all, its not skill oriented autoing now as mentioned. Hopefully I can manage to commit to this and not lose interest in the game otherwise I'll probably fall back to WoW or start a new game.

also another possibility would be just to do your money making and such miner or wc then get the cash onto the armies...then make a merchanting script that will log in players and trade every 15 minutes and have a different player login to trade each time...just a thought for those that are worried about money transfering...you could have 1 army make money 1 day while another trades, and then switch have the army that made money transfer the next day , that may be pretty detectable though b/c you would always have 1 bank acc logging in and out....

we will find a way to beat this even if it does take time to do so, still im pisssed about this pking issue

I am not leaving either ;)

I just use (mostly) single player scripts on my new main/pure (my caver, chicken killers, stuff like that) and ChopYBank (doesn't give cash, but gives exp ;))

I auto mostly on my main, so this really is good news for me,
I only use the best quality scripts I can access, such as King's catherby fisher, or Hy's cave runner, so no bannage.
I'll love getting these new improved scripts.

Well, thanks for the ride, SRL. It was fun while it lasted. I autoed mostly to try to keep up with the other autoers, and I've noticed that they are mostly gone now (didn't notice any baldy woodchoppers running around in Lumby today in F2P--amazing), so I don't need to do it anymore. It was also neat to beat the system too, but now I'll focus on finding the best ways of skilling and making gp in the new RS system without autoing.

Awesome, really didn't expect us to give up. Although they won a battle, the war is not over. I'm definitely gonna redouble my efforts to create quality scripts and learn amazing SRL scripting :).

Well I think $ will still have something to do with it. After all we just dont want to shell out of our pockets to pay for members do we? As I have said before $ will be a factor for me and many other people. My idea is still to auto and bank goods. After all how will those people that "dont have time" to earn gp going to get there gp? They will need to just buy an account with gp on it. But they arnt just going to buy a lvl 3 since that isnt possible anymore there going to want to buy a main. Well I am saying this

I am going to auto for $ and I will donate that $ here, after I pay for members on my army. So I am going to sell parts of my army off every now and again for some $.

But the thing is people are always going to want to get ahold of gp somehow. And people arnt going to stop buying accounts. They are simply going to have to pay up with $.

So I am here to stay!!!

I just realized this. I can make another script a chopper and burner, chop then burn. How wonderful. This all poped into my head since some poeple will just be autoing for XP.

I don't know if Jagex knows this, but their up-coming updates are really to OUR advantage.

SCAR is by far the most reliable and undetectable autoing tool available. Safe to use on main-accounts.

RSDemon and iBot were only level 3 accs to get money for mains around the globe, and now they can't earn anything.
And because of the ban rate on RSD and iBot, they don't dare to use it on their mains. But we do. We are undetectable. I honestly believe, that Jagex can't dissect us from real players.

I didn't get here because of money, but I'm making a fair share. I love scripting more than pixels, and that's still my reason for staying.

Glad to see Fawk showing to the public that we still are alive.

I gave my Catherby Fisher 110% percent of myself, but it won't end here! Future script will be 200% percent. ATLEAST 5 hours on each account (Not counting unsolvable randoms).

Yes I agree. I am not going to auto on my main. Dont want to risk it getting banned any more. But I am making new mains. Which I have said I am going to sell for $ and donate some $ here. But Yes I believe you can auto on your main just choose very carefully upon what scripts you are going to use.

EDIT: If we are going to auto on our mains we will need to work on the randoms. Every human can solve the maze random. We should be able too.

Wizzup is correct, what he meant by 'the key' is that now Jagex is looking on shop prices. 3k is actually a wide range for many autoed goods (Coal, Yews, Runes, Lobsters) so we actually gained ground on that pathetic update.

The way I interpreted it was that you could only trade a 3k+or- of the market value of the entire set of goods you are trading. So really there isnt much of a point in trading items to your main. Unless they are raw materials which you can make into more valuable goods.

Way to discourage generosity.

Four new updates were listed, Wonder what they could be? Real world trading is bad, its evil they say A new Jagex fight against cheaters today! Real money for gold, their raking in lots. Kill all the autoers, kill all the bots! Removing unbalanced trades, *What the heck is that? Means all those merchants will never get their phat! Farewell birthday gifts, no more helping a friend. No more running nats, *Just where will it end? This 1st post was painful, yet I just pressed through. But I held my breath as I opened number 2. Trade and drop changes, seems like lots of chatter. I clicked on the link to see what was the matter. 3k gold pieces is now the trade limit. No more getting Barrows, unless millions are in it Drop parties are out, drop transfers are too. A gravestone is left if a Fire Giant kills you. No more getting rich when a noob makes a mistake. Those items are no longer yours for the take. I could not believe, in what was to be With an unsteady hand, I clicked post number 3. Wilderness changes? Please say its not so! Revenant ghosts? Now thats a low blow! They do close to the same thing, but I had to go to a less-desirable way to make the World 16 Air Runner, because the road was always filled w/ white, Summoner's will also have a better 'performance' because it doesn't have to interact so much.
You'll just have to see for yourself, but I haven't gotten Summoner's to work perfectly yet.
