Over 50k people either quit, or stopped paying for members after the PK updates, people will keep playing anyways, & new people will join.

runescape is just fucking addicting idk why lol but thanks to Narcles Autofighter (and his fast fighter) i went from 49 to 100+ combat without playing!! but im not really bragging because my 104 main got banned..and my new main is on a 10 day ban because i ran the bot 20 hours a day..

and uh...summoning was a complete failure it only made the game more gay. runescape is so anti social its not even funny..thats why games like WoW and ragnarok are a lot more cool because u can sit and chat with teenagers that are your age not some 9-12 year old kid mining coal for 10 hours a day just so he can make a couple hundred k. Im just mad i didnt find this forum anytime sooner because i wasted way too many hours actually lvling on runescape when i could have been getting 250k xp a night while I sleep or party lol. and i also found out anything u say to kids in rs will get you reported lol. I swear i said stuff that wasnt bad at all and gotten reported several times so now i just dont talk to people anymore lmao..no point

I remember the times you could sell things in bulk for more money, because it was convinient for the buyer, but now you can't, sucks

rs is gay, lame, boring...etc i miss pking and all the glitches in bh. they just recently removed the glitch where u can leave and come back to loot. made me just quit bh and rs...im glad though cause now all can do is profit from the game...sell my cash and account and move on

I agree with most of the things said in this thread.. I still am bitter especially about taking away wilderness.. whats the point of having exceptionally good stats if you cant use them? Sure theres bounty hunter but that's just a badly designed minigame to entertain the pkers who are still playing but u cant even compare that to wildy. One wonders what the fuck is keeping all these players in RS?? quests - lol. getting 99 stats - most likely, but why?

To me this game (especially in RSC) was always about getting better combat stats so I could pwn wildy either alone or with friends. Now the only thing left of that is some artificial minigames. Yet i keep autoing in the hope that they fix wilderness back one way or another...

all, welllll. Richard was right. we'd have to get several hundered thousand people to quit and not get anyone new to pay for members for several months, then maybe someone who might be partially related and/or friends with a third cousin of a Fagex fileclerk will listen.
We are here to spite Runescape. How dare they ruin our game and our economy so lets flood them with rotten goods and bad xp and get the noobs to join us. well that's not how i see these communities. think wider. we are LEARNING. whether it be java, delphi, c, cpp, html, php, javascript, forums coding, etc. etc. we are learning things that [not to make jagex look good] we would never have done without this stupid little game and its stupid little creator. I myself have decided what i'm going to specialize in and learn about in college mostly because of wanting to make a better game and code better autoers. some of you chickens may leave this site after a few days of getting pissy over jagex, but those of us that are willing to stay are going to be building your games in a few years, and your computers and your software whilst you do what? complain that you don't like it? sit on your ass and cry? stop posting bullshit whiny threads like this and go learn how to live your life. oh, and for those few who are too rich to be bothered with making a living, f**k off and remember that your money will be mine someday.

RS is not dead! If it were dead, then this great community wouldn't be so active anymore. People are still botting / autoing, we've just changed our goals; we're not going for the money anymore, but for the exp. Many people still love to beat the system and get high ranked in a game like this by doing nothing.

For me the game got better. Never loved wildy and rwt wasn't for me either.

Well they are going to bring back old school pking but w/o the drops to avoid RWT =)


The aim is for PvP content that better replaces the old Wilderness, but without reintroducing RWT.

Hopefully, you’re already aware of the imminent Clan Wars release (see the September Behind the Scenes in a couple of weeks for more information), but there are also plans afoot for the most exciting and "old school" PvP update we have ever considered – unique PvP worlds.

As many of our long term players know, in the old RuneScape Classic days you could actually fight players just outside the gates of Lumbridge, before the days of duelling and even before the days of the old Wilderness itself. Players could hunt each other down, chasing them away from favourite resource points and generally "owning" large areas of the map.

So, in 2008, we will be bringing you special 'PvP worlds', where you can fight other players almost anywhere! In addition to all the usual content you might expect to find in RuneScape, they will also include:

Optional sign-up – choose between PvP danger or stick to ordinary play by simply switching worlds.
High danger with items dropped on death.
High rewards for kills. To avoid any RWT issues the reward for a successful PK will be generated by the game, similar to when you kill a monster at the moment. We're creating generous drop tables based on factors like your levels and the impressiveness of the kill.
These drop tables will include "PvP world specific" items like XP-modifying gear, lvl 70+ equipment and new, glorious, short-term but hard hitting gear. These will once again make PKing a viable source of income.
PvP across 99% of the world, including the old Wilderness.
Attack any player within a certain level of your own. Level range depends on the area, similar to the old Wilderness levels.
...And all sorts of other twists on interesting content... Just think of the possibilities when you can PK anywhere!

I sometimes wonder why Jagex are so concerned with the economy of runescape (they destroy tradeable holiday items (they should make it so it is very difficult to get one, you have to play a good while in order to achieve just one or enough so that you cannot hoard them)) I got why they work to stop autoing, but please don't make the economy a dictatorship.

Oh well, I will just keep autoing regardless of how things are, at least now I feel like I'm not doing something against someone that I respect to much, though in reality Jagex is just another business trying to get by, and runescape will never die unless Jagex dies with it, hopefully it will be ported to a video game system someday, when they can handle MMORPGs, hopefully I don't have to start a new account.

Personally, i liked RS before the updates, then i got bored and quit. Now when i come back, the updates are all fucked up. Ok graphics are better, there this new G.E thing that makes trading easier, but omfg it fu**ing sucks now. Jagex: use your brains once in a while? plz! .. just found out where BH, Clan wars, Fist of Guthix and the Duel arena. everything but the Clan wars sucked! the fist of guthix was ok but too easy. Clan wars should have had a betting window, where each clan has X amount of players, and they bet something like 30k against eachother, whoever wins gets to share the money. not perfect but theyd find a way to make it work. Sry for offtopic btw.

O well i used to not like autoing much, but since its so boring, why spend time on this dang game. Im just gonna auto an army to lvl 80 combat and give to couple friends so we can rule when this new pk'ing thing comes back :stirthepot:

Jagex is slowly weeding f2p out. It is making f2p not worth playing while carpet bombing members with new stuff so they don't complain when they don't have f2p players to exploit.

I was members but i got hacked , than jagex said that wasn't his problem , and i've lsot 1 month of membership ... Anyway Runescape is ruinescape now , but i can tell anything else , im too addicted to this game ... and now i will autobot fro get back the money i've lost.

As you can see I've been a member here for a while now. But quit and now am back again. The limits are so crippling. I gave a lot of valuables to a second account to open up inventory space. Now I cant get that back, plus can't get stuff my friends want to give me.

The good thing that came out of this is that I now try to level my self instead of making money. I'll worry about that later.

I agree with this topic. Runescape has definately worsened.

I don't think Runescape is dead at all, and I actually support the Grand Exchange. Its a boatload of convenience...

i totaly agree runescape was killed the first day they remove wildeness evryone quit and a lil after they add trade limit and like 40% of player of runescape quit..

do u really have to exploit the players not knowin prices to get money? theres plenty of great scripts here to help ya make money.
