I remember when runescape died hardcore.. I was pking in edgeville... Went to bed at like 2AM after a system update.. Woke up, logged into World 18. Wilderness was gone....
Ever since then, I just autoed everything, because I can, and BH is alright when you can dominate it.
Yea i keep going from wow to runescape wow to runescape. Its getting ridiculous.
If/When Jagex members see this, they'll be rubbing their hands together and smiling gleefully.

I wouldn't say its 'Dead' but its getting close. The trade limit. That was the worse update i say they did. The PvP worlds. Horrible.Every update they have done. Has either had a Problem or is Horrible.
Edit; I wouldnt say im 'complaining' Im just having my say on there updates.

riotting doesnt do ANYTHING(when has it ever) they really dont care about anyone. the only people that they do sorta care about is members, because ,obviously, there paying them. and they also care about there rules so much there willing on losing literally millions of dollars (to be honest i dont think they knew that many people would quit hahah)
I think the Runescape Economy is fine right now. I mean, sure we have this the ridiculus trade limit but the economy is still influenced by the players.
For example, if enough people with a lot of cash buy something out, there will be less of that item. That means people will be willing to pay more for it and the price on the Grand Exchange will rise accordingly. I have used this system to make a lot of cash from the Grand Exchange.
This proves that the runescape economy is not dead; the players influence it.
I think this would be called investing since it is similar to stocks.
I haven't the time to check whether this has been posted already (exams approaching etc) but I think it should be said that although the general mass can no longer make money off of the less educated players. Those who have a basic knowledge of supply/demand can. With GE merchanting players can now make more money than EVER before... and they can do this while playing about 20 mins a day. I won't go into the details because if you can't figure it out after reading this post you will just grow impatient and not figure out how to do it properly. Good luck.

i quit rs due to the updates aswell i had 11m than when pvp came back i pked and lost it all and quit again =] but now im using Wizzup? essence miner and getting the money back than quitting untill they get Proper old pk back

Yea, it is a lot different with the new trade system and the G.E. But once you figure it out you can merchant very easily.
I do not enjoy the change but it isn't terrible.

I dont enjoy the game as i once did with all the updates. So i started playing WoW and WOTLK killed it for me. 80 was easy and so was raiding. Now i just bot hard and go out.
Runescape is so screwed now, trade-limit stopped botting causing the economy fall i still remembered when i was playing like 2years ago everything was good but now the trade-limit screwed everything up, but on the other hand its anti-ban as you cant hack other players item.
