many people look at scar and think... holey **** this will be to hard ill just take. well dont at least try to learn to script the community is here to help so dont just assume its too hard and give up at least try! we are here to help and dont post i need this script or that script look around and you might find what you need. and we have many great tuts that will teach even the bigest idiot. so come on give scripting another try!:garfield:Quote:

I gave it a try, I made a working powerchopper and it just got too hard for me to make it any better with things that actually make it a quality script that people want to use. I've read heaps of Tuts and now I just don't think scripting is my calling.
i made my owns scripts....but im not a junior member yet so i cant post....
yeah i doubt that clayton :P j/k and anony it was hard for everyone in starting it takes intrest to do it..
i know its hard but dont be scared to ask questions

Don't take it too fast... start small then slowly work into harder stuff. I starting with King of Buttons. Then I slowly got better.
Eh, I tried C++ programming my sophmore year in highschool. It was one of the hardest things i have ever done.
I can reccomed to look at other script to learn. That's how I learned advanced stuff.

well i cant even work out how to use a script letalone make one! it is too hard, even this site is too hard to navigate!.
i cant even download srl. can someone help me with that?
1 thing no double posting plz, and if you have scar you can download srl from there (file -> Download SRL) SIMPLE :D, and yes after time you do become more familiar with scripts so dont expect to just pick it up straight away, the only reason it gets harder is because runescape has made it harder for the scripters to make it work flawlessly :D
your scar should either be 3.15 or 3.15b ps dont forget includes
i know this sounds really noobie but does anyone have any pointers on making scripts i want to start making a few but im not sure about how to make them

If you start with simple things, you can go to the more advanced ones =)

I try learning how ot make my own scripts you know, but it just gets to me. I'm not that much of a patient person and so, I don't take the time to learn this. I'll probably stay a leecher. :(
Scripting is actually pretty fun when you get into it, sure its would be nice to get all the scripts for free, but its so rewarding when you make them yourself
Without knowing how to script, your use of existing scripts will be severely limited. If anything doesn't work the way you want, you wouldn't be able to do much about it. Even if you're not a leet scripter, knowing how to read the code and tweak it will enable you to get much more out of your scripts. 8D
Wow searously?! I have been lurking the fourms for about a week now at home and work i am starting to get the hang of this I think. I am trying to make good auto for mining, but am having issues with it. Once I get it done though I will be the coolest because I made it and didnt leach off of someone else. I want to make my own script (better then every1 else ofcourse :P) but it will take me about a year to learn it, then atleast 3 months to make a realy easy script... and to learn & build a script in 2+ years isn't funny...
But hey, first i'm learning to use some scripts (setting up worlds, doing smart in a script etc...) It's a start, hehe
