Well, I'm no architect, but from a personal view, I like the large windows, but dislike the openness.
I bet you have a lot of ceiling on the inside with nothing on it? Maybe add a window panel in the ceiling, or insert some ceiling lights. OR THOSE HANGING LIGHTS!

That is pretty awesome, I agree about maybe making some small changes to the shadowing but other than that its excellent.

If you are serious about becoming an architect, I suggest that you Get some Autodesk Software. Get a Copy or Architectural Desktop, as it is mainly used for 3D Modeling. It is great because it includes a professional rendering program with it.
I am not posting this because I work for Autodesk, or because it is my favorite 3D Design software company (which it is). I am posting this because all the architects that I know (About 20 from 8 Different Firms) all use Autodesk Software.

That's a very interesting design, I like the large window especially. Personally I wouldn't leave so much empty space up top, but to each his own!
