I have downloaded the attached Embedded_SMART.dll file, and it works on my other computer, but for some reason does not work on this one

Man, mine is farked. i can click and type in smart without pressing disable smart. i got successfully compiled, but no moving red mouse. btw im using Wizz & Fakawi Multi miner

I just minimize it, I found a cool thing for the task bar:

Okay, i'll repost this.

I replaced the DLL and Smat.scar.

Within my the script I am using, I switched:

Code:

SmartSetup('world'+(inttostr(SMART_World)), True, True, False);

to

Code:

LoadSMART(94, False, True);

And within SMART.scar, I get the following error:

Failed when compiling Line 109: [Error] (170:71): Invalid number of parameters in script C:\Program Files\SCAR 3.15\includes\SRL\SRL\Misc\Smart.Scar

Said line is:

Code:

SmartSetup('http://world' + IntToStr(WorldNum) + '.runescape.com/', S);

If I swap it to the same setup as it says to on the first page, the script compiles, runs, and finishes without doing anything at all.

this is not the right url... did you copy the new smart.scar? it has a different url then this.. this one is the old way to pre-choose a world on runescape and you can no longer do that in the url.

Scar opens SMART then it just appears to do nothing, it seems like the embedded.dll file is not working for me.

You need to read the full post. As SOON as SMART opens, you need to minimize it.

To those getting invalid parameters, did you restart SCAR after moving the plugins?

2-changed to LoadSMART line
3-put new plugin in

So if im totally missing something eh point out pl0x?

Seems to work for me when smart is minimized, would be nice to see whats it doing though, now I gotta rely on sounds. I got vista but it doesnt show active thumbnails

-Backed up the old SMART.scar,
-Created a new one in the same folder and pasted what is on the first post into it, saving it.
-Backed up the old DLL
-Copied the new one to the plugins folder
-Restarted SCAR

Can you post the exact error, if its parameters, you need to restart scar with the new plugin in the plugin's folder.

There was a link posted a bit up, maybe that might work on vista too? Or just activate active thumbnails. Also, some people are adding SMART viewing things to their scripts! :)

You name everything the same, and move those backups to different places?

To backup, I hit 'rename' on the file and add an "_old" to it, leaving it in the same folder. I then copy the new version into the same folder. As for my error, it's already been posted, but here it is again.

Put: {.Include SRL\SRL\Misc\SMART.SCAR} on top of your script and delete the backups, that should fix your problem.

The include was already there, but I moved the backups to another folder and it worked. That's really strange, and really gay. Does SCAR not look for full file names or something?

I think your problem was that you still had the old plugin in the same folder as the new one. SCAR doesn't pick and choose which ones to load - it loads all of them. So when you tried to call SmartSetup, it must've picked the old one instead of the new one.

this is bull. Smart opens up, but it still wont log me in and auto, this is when i minimize. and i can click the stuff in the SMART window, without having to click "disable smart" HELP PLEASE

the smith400, close all smarts, start a script, the second u see smart pop up minimize it. You cant ever un-minimize it or you can click inside, and you will have to restart the script and minimizing all over again!

That means that your Embedded_SMART.dll is wrong... use the one here, delete the SRL one, don't leave it there.

I assume you restarted SCAR... Make sure you have been putting them into the PLUGIN folder, not the place inside plugin folder folder.

Also please bear in mind that the SMART dll attached here has a slightly different filename to the existing one.

The default name withing the plugings directory is: Embedded SMART.dll
whereas the dll attached to this thread has a filename of: Embedded_SMART.dll

note the addition of the underscore instead of a space.

To make sure all functions work correctly either rename the dll from this thread to match and overwrite the original or delete the original. either way works but having both files within the plugins directory may cause problems.
