Well I spent a bit of time crawling and I came up with this:

Approximately 200 posts from Kaitnieks as of December 5th, 2005. For those of you who don't know what Kaitnieks is, it's basically where private servers and cheating on RuneScape originated from.
Just thought I'd share this with the community.

I'm pretty sure private servers originated from moparisthebest, I don't remember them being around when kait was. I wonder if I'm somewhere in there =0!
Private servers originated at kaitnieks' forums. Winterlove created the first private servers there. Started with a fly-trough of a the map with items scattered all-over. Then he made a basic model with walking and such. That still forms the base for most servers currently around.Quote:

But this had nothing to do with Kait. He merely hosted a forum for the java bot and was crushed by Jagex.

I still have access to all data on kaitnieks' forums though...
And Kait is fine last time I heard, I talk to him a lot, though he's not been on in a few weeks

So Could somebody explain to me how these bots worked? I presume Aryan was reflection because I have seen it nowadays as (AryanTile(12345, 12345)). But what exactly was RSDemon, what did it do and how?

I remember running Aryan at draynor fishing shrimps and anchovies for almost 3 days straight. I got like 77 fishing. Still not banned too. Not a lot of my characters that used Aryan got banned, infact I remember only getting banned once, when I ran a guildminer (The mining guild has like the best little community ever, there are these invisible rules that make it so that you can not walk up to a random rock and mine if it there is someone else at that rock) and I tested it and everyone would go "stop mining my rock!" and some more knowledgeable people then the average person said I was a bot so that probably happened more then once. That is also why I do not mine in the mining guild now.
I can not speak for anyone else but Aryan was pretty undetectable. I had gotten 70 mining from mining rune essence and that account still exists today, however I have given it to my friend :p. I think that coupled with the fact that you could run like 20-30 bots at once. So you got like 1000-10000 leechers all running 3 - 20 bots and you realize that causes problems. And that does not include the non leechers in the people that got mass banned, as it spread very fast that Regex was going to kill Aryan.
I still have the last Aryan revision on my computer somewhere... Anyway, I do not think I nailed all of that 100%, I was not keeping any of the events on record. So a lot of this could have been twisted by my horrible memory. If anyone wants to correct something I may have forgotten or I accidentally remembered incorrectly can go right ahead.
I do not know anything about RSDemon.
I still have the RSDemon .exe and the other files.
did anyone ever use Sbot? and LeoSleep and all that back for classic? lol

So you say Aryan didn't use reflection, and it was open source, then how did it know where to go and what to do?

and sherman. aryan was around way before reflection. i'm not exactly sure how it worked but i never heard of reflection before while using it. i'm pretty sure it used item ID's tho? idk been a while
No one talked about reflection around this time. So I can only assume reflection was not used. If I had to take a guess it sent commands via the client.Quote:

I never actually looked into the engine of Aryan and nor do I know the java know how to know what any of it means. Maybe it would be best to ask someone who has more knowledge with client hacking.
