so the more recent claims mcafee is more advanced no?
Er, no. In the more recent one McAfee came in 15th out of 16th. However, Kapersky ranked 6th, and Norton ranked 3rd.
FTW.
Also, the reason Firefox forces you to save first is so your AV can check it (mainly for the ones that scan files as they get accessed). It also takes a second or so to scan it (not sure if that's its own scanner or trying to call your own scanner).
But yeah, around twice a year I download the newest Kaspersky trial and run a full scan, that keeps me clean :D
Epic failage, lucky that ive allways used Firefox.
There's nothing worse than IE's downloading with the retarded window popping up and on closing cancels your download.. Plus it's slow, vulnerable to everything (like 90% of people use it and most are completely un-aware of the amount of suck involved in using it, so I wonder why hackers like to target IE, of course FF being open-source may be another reason too)..
It's a well known fact that when it comes to webbrowsers IE is pretty much the mentally (and physically) retarded thing that no-one likes.. Except the people un-aware of the better options.
You can thank Norton for not detecting your pornworms, and instead hogging your loads of resources and warning you about everything safe you run and ignoring any nasty things.
GoF, I +1 your post.
thats such a lie ive been using IE for about 4 years now and no problem!
