To be honest you couldn't handle a situation like that unless you've been into loads of trouble before...
In my area it's a little different, there are black people only age 12-16 and for every one of those there are atleast 10 white people age 14-30 :p So if shit happens it won't happen again...
Sad to hear what happened to you, I doubt that it'll make you feel better but to be honest, things like these just reflect their own life...
