ROFL look at what none autoers think we do this for

I have often wondered what basicly makes people auto:
I have found out some motives but maybe you guys can tell more. Here are some of my findings:
- getting stuff fast and then selling items for real money
- they are bored in game but still hanging around
- bullying on skills they actually not earned themselves
- pixel freakness - "rare items to me and fast"
- LAZINESS (Iero) and showoff (Owner)
- i got hacked and the person wouldn't log off (by TUNER)
- I want to have a big social life but play at the same time ( by Phil)
- saves me time so I can hang out with mates, but still get to play with the stats I wanted (by Faffite)
- they think they are clever by getting stats by cheat
Excuses of auto*** (heard in real):
- I want to use my time for something else (but still want to play)
- Everybody does it
- someone else played my account (funnily continuously??)
- I pay this and that much to Jagex so I may auto
- autoing saves RSC (cause more players will be online)
- I know xxx-mod, so im not punished
- I was lagging and thats why my char was running like that
- I was in messenger, so didnt notice you

if you're asking why we auto, this is my reason, i auto for fun, to beat the system, to play the game against the rules
also id like to have a blue party hat so i can high alchemy it, :D but i dont think ill ever get one

i auto because i can. end of story. and no one will tell me different.

I simple auto because it's an intellectual challenge, rather than wasting countless hours playing a stupid game I learn new things by coding ways to baet the game...

And best of all there is an opponent [JAGEX] which makes it even more interesting and harder :-)

I do it because I enjoy coding xD

Why I auto??? Well... Many reasons... The least important reason one being able to lead a normal life while autoing. More importantly, in the process destroying the game ;). I mean, just look at what we've done to the game so far.

We altered the way Essence can be mined, we changed the entire interface so autoing would be harder and many, many more reasons. Autoing gives us power over the game!!! We will eventually destroy the game by making it cheatable/unplayable/not fun anymore because of all the randoms and interface changes. Even if you don't want to and you're saying you respect jagex, eventually, you will kill the game. :)

And, for the challenge. This is the main reason for me now, since I don't actually play the game anymore. The game has become a sorta cat-and-mouse kinda game for me. Its not about playing, its about not being caught. And so far, I'm winning. :D

On topic... To me Runescape is About PKing for me.. Sometimes I just wana go out there and not care about dying and try new and improved ways.. Pking does involve bits of skills, I mean when to take out the 2h, when to mage and who to mage.. So yeah, I auto cuz I wan't to Pk tension free... I want to keep everything I pked, not sell em for lobs.. And Jagex has a way of screwing players.. I mean all players say nothing good to pk in f2p, but think about it money wise... Pking in members, To pk you need (since I range mostly) rune arrows & Sharks.. If you use these 2 you'll get a kill worht 500k + once in a while.. Pking in free 2 player you need addy arrows and lobs, you'll get kills worth mostly 25k, but sometimes more...

So if you think about it you never really get rich FAST. There are sometimes when you get amazing kills, but that's rarely.. Sooooooo I want to pk for fun of it, and for donations to my pking tension free goal i need to auto...

p.s. Sometimes I also wana make a script, and have it work good, and people use it and like it.. That's why I like make scripts. Nothing against Jagex, just something for fun... Help people out ;)

Because im lazy, I don't like the game, but im pretty addicted to it.

I dont see Runescape as normal people do. I have choosen my nickname on purpose as "where the fuck are we?".
Looking at Runescape I see a Blackboard with little Pieces of Color and Bitmap sometimes glooming up. For the rest, its Dark. Its an Abyss loaded with Deadly Traps and Complicated Puzzlry. Its....complicated. And it's controlled by the wonderful SCAR. SCAR has captured the Repetitive Nature and Fixed Logic of Runescape. With SCAR, you can decompose Runescape. Outsmart it. I love it.


P.S.: I am sorry Dadeer, it's not on your list. Would you please add this?

Jagex doesn't bend the rules :).

It doesnt save rsc is kills rs2 which runs jagex out of bussiness, therefore killing auto-ers (mostly) :(.

I auto for fun really. I like seeing how far I can get on a character before it gets banned. Sure I play on a high level legit I've had for over 3 years. But I like running SCAR and getting loads of the same item in my autoed chars' bank. :)

I auto because I can, Its fun and I can make rs money to sell for lunch money at school :)

I mainly auto for fun also. And I think its halarious to see 20k rune ess in your bank just by doing nothing =P but I still play legit on my main (lvl 102) and im going for a santa or a hallowween mask soon and ill probly start pking(which ive never done b4 cause i always cared if i lost full rune lol) once im 90 str. It's also cool to see your own made script in action.

because they auto log you out after 30 secs and make the fishing take longer then 30 seconds

i do auto for 2 reasons. well first off, rules are meant to be broken ;) and ofcourse, when im not around the computer, why not still b on rs if i have that advantage :D

becuse jagex hates bots i just want to annoy people

I think it is funny that people always say that if you auto Jagex will immediately catch you. =)

yea, none of my autoers have been caught yet and i only have like, 3 bots that i use one at a time =P

Like quite a few people here, I enjoy the challenge of evading Jagex while still playing the game to gain gold, items, etc.

I do it because robots dont get tired

I auto because i'm addicted to runescape but don't want to waste my time (weird huh)

i do it because i need to satisfy the intellectual part of my brain while i go from party to party :p the only way to get my brain working real hard is coding, and jaggex is a pretty good opponent :p

I auto cuz its fun. And I try to make money, but so far, it's not working out too well... :P

I use to play by the rules 100%, but now that I quit rs a while ago, I have come back recently cause of an ad to cheat and thought I would give it a try.

I auto so I can

1. Keep up with all the people that auto.

and

2. Because the only aspect of the game I really enjoy is pk'ing. In order to pk you must basically be pure. In order to be pure you have to have high stats. In order to get high stats because of my hectic life with sports and school, you have to auto :D .

i automine because mining takes too long to lvl up and because lots of ppl auto and not get caught

i auto because one day when i'm brushing my teeth giant dill pickles will be ruling world.

i auto because it is a lot fun gaining money by doing nothing =P

^^Oh really? I forgot that when you lag you run to the essence mine for 3 minutes, use the portal, bank it, then repeat. I sure do need to get me some of that lag.

also all the other things you guys said...

imo, it is way more fun spending 2 hours writing a script followed by 8 hours of autoing while sleeping than spending 10hours fishing, runecrafting, or chopping yews, especially after playing the game for hours upon hours everyday.

also the mental stimulation i get from this is pretty great... and real life friends are like wtf when you show them what you do for fun
