I feel exactly the same (even though I rarely play these days)
Odd, I have gone to medical school decided to pop in and see whats new. I am sure my post count has halved :(

Lucipher got banned. I dont.
allz i got to say is jagex bring it on.
relax guys, scar without smart cannot be detected if you use proper scripts. this is because most bots recieve info from the rs client, while scar is just clicking colors.
but crap, is reflection safe anymore? i just started making a fisher and my main is fishing with reflection atm :(
lol scar being scar means they cant detect it they can detect some of them but the way it is made made every script is unique and like another bot so jagex cant win us
Can't Jagex just download the scripts here and use them to check against botters to see if they're following a certain script?
But there are SO MANY scripts - it would take Jagex ages!
Maybe we should close off the SRL library from the public so Jagex can't access it.
But anyhow, we should try to make Smart seem like it is actually part of the runescape window. And if that doesn't work, we should use sequences in the scripts which mix up the order in which actions are performed. I.e. randomly perform tasks in different orders instead of the same every time.
But I stopped my bot the day before the update came out... I hope I'll be safe =(
You can not put Chuck Norris on top, he will smite you.
And I agree, I was around for all the mass account bans of RSC, they would tell you flat out if they were so certain. They may have cracked down on bots such as RSBot, but SCAR will live on!
Seriously though, it doesn't matter how much Jagex updates, SCAR is so malleable that it would be an impossible feat to stump us entirely. SCAR bots can be rebuilt a thousand times, as they are versatile scripts; so easily redesigned and adapted. And SCAR, in this day in age, can be scripted to replicate human actions, so precisely, that, so long as you're intelligent enough to auto with care, and this community thrives with intellectual scripters, it is impossible to stop SCAR botters altogether, without banning accounts with little to no evidence, in which case Jagex will crumble.
It's a shame that when releasing SCAR, Kaitnieks didn't realize the potential of such a simple color clicker.
I mean look at what SCAR stands for ;).
EDIT: Inspiration, no?:

They talking about those nerdy chinese botters lol
and prolly RSBOT
scar is safe and always will be!
I'm smart enough to spit out a statement like that, yet it took me a minute to realize that the bug in Joker's signature was not actually on my screen, lol.
For those talkin about smart and reflection not being safe. I smite you.
Smart + reflection does not modify the client in anyway like rsbot... reflection reads the client.
ok... so how exactly does RS bot work then? i thought that it just read the client to..
Nope rsbot injects into the client.
Bring it on y'buggers.
:)
We are fine, we have the best of the best. Let em try.

Who's afraid of the big bad wolf?
Runescape will not be able to find out if were are autoing and stop us. They could stop reflection be changing their client's security.
Scar is a color finding program. It finds color just like the human eye and clicks it :p
They actually could effectively halter smart for a tiny bit if they use the "go through website" thing, but that would be easy to fix.
They actually banned Lucipher, the 3rd best player in RS for macroing today, but after 6 hours, unbanned him. That's sounds like a warning. I'm still botting everyday: 5/7 hours
lol at this thread... told ya typing random shit is dumb... there are too many noobs on rs.

Ah, it amuses me how ignorant most players are about bots, especially when information is so easy to find.Quote:

Autoing strong atm. Jagex cant and wont stop us, they know the consequences that without botters the economy of runescape would suffer mightly. That "update" was just to scare all new autoers to go back to playing legit.
Lets see, at it's most simplistic it would use:
There. At it's most simplistic, it would take 6 lines (not counting the code for actually doing something) to change worlds every 10 minutes.SCAR Code:repeat //line 1
MarkTime(time); //line 2
repeat //line 3
*whatever code you want to do*
until(TimeFromMark(time) > 600000) //line 4
ChangeWorld(RandomWorld(Members, PvP)); //line 5
until(whatever) //line 6
My new scripts I make change worlds every certain number of something (kills, loads, etc.)
It helps stop getting randoms period/that often depending on how long you auto and great for antiban.
A bluff IMO.
I dont see how they can detect SCAR, if you really think of it... There is no way they catch you unless they look at our files and scripts. Then use our scripts and monitor where the script clicks and what it does to ban us..Quote:
We have reviewed all the macro programs available, and there are none we cannot detect.
Or they just see where abouts you click and if you repeatitively click the same area's for a certain amount of time. boom ban hammer. Seems like the only thing that would make sence.
Experiment:
Im going to manually get stuck behind a fence of some sort and click continously for 10 minutes then logout. Just like SCAR would xD.
Code:/* Before anyone says anything,
I didn't declare preprocessor directives, namespace std, or variables
*/
int main()
{
cout<<"Do you use RSBOT or IBOT/NEXUS";
cin>>a;
if (a=="yes")
cout<<"you are a moron, your accounts will probably get banned";
if (a=="no")
cout<<"your account didn't get banned, congratulations";
}
They probably recorded a bunch of patterns of the most used RSBot scripts and made a comparison check on a offline bot to see if the patterns are similar and within the margin of error. Then they probably did a mass ban on all the accounts that resulted true. A woodcutting script on RSBot has like 600k views so they can effectively ban a lot of macros. Coupled with removing the appeal offense feature, only the legit players are going to take the time to appeal their ban. You can still appeal your ban as there are still ways to contact Jagex, even Jagex confirmed this on the RSOF and out-right said that only legit players will take the time to find out how to appeal.
At least this is my theory. Lucipher6 was unbanned also, so it proves that either their system is not 100% accurate (which we know for sure, it is not) or that Lucipher6 was macroing with a bot and he got lucky (we will never know if he did, or if he used RSBot or SCAR or any other bot).
Edit: So I guess if you get banned on a very good account, you should find out how to contact Jagex. Maybe someone who is bothered enough will figure it out and post.
Some people should take one wise thing, Rsbot does not "suck", scar is not "uber" they are 2 different things, if you can code good, and you use your brains, you can out smart the system, and if someone again says "RSBOT SUCKS!!!!", seriously GTFO you don't know what you are saying, btw I never visited their site or used it, but if you can code well, you can outsmart the system.
I see this as a bluff and technicality.
Of course you can detect ALL of them. There is no single mainstream RS macroing compiler that has had 0 bans because of it. SCAR has had multiple accounts banned, but not because of this new system they have in place.Quote:
We have reviewed all the macro programs available, and there are none we cannot detect.
If they are being serious about being able to detect any available program, then those who want to bot should learn how to program and keep some scripts private. They aren't going to read those. If they do, we can just make hundreds of incoherent scripts[1] and hide the real ones in the mass of them.
The only way Jagex can rid themselves of 100% of bots is if they hire people to stand behind us and watch us play, or kill RuneScape. Neither of which will happen.
I have an account I've played legitimately on 100% of the time since the dawn of his existence. He has over 60M total exp, a 30M+ bank value, and over 2 90+ skills. He has been free from all autoing interactions. If he's banned, IDC. The last time I played RS for more than 20 minutes straight was months ago.
So, it's a trade off. Learn how to code better in this language, and better coding practices overall for free- I don't have to pay for membership- or pay $5/month and let my brain rot clicking random rocks/altars.
I think my choice is clear. ;)
[EDIT]
[1]No chance of compiling, completely incoherent, but a few hundred of them surrounding legitimate programs makes it near impossible for Jagex to find the real one(s), assuming they are sniffing out private programs, which has a next-to-nothing chance of happening anyway. XDSCAR Code:Program Woodcutter;
end;
for Integer in each
var aaaaa;
begin
if(i<=99)do
each(84);
//etc.
