RC cars / anything thread

Well, I've been into RC items since I was a tiny little child.
and since I was going to have money for the summer a bought myself a Traxxas Slash RC truck, got it yesterday, and got in 2 runs today on it.

and it is AWESOME

Anyone else got any *quality* rc vehicles?

I'm sure I'll be uploading some videos some time VERY soon, I guess there is an old small track here that I'm going to hit tomorrow.
I also have a decent RC boat that I rarely use anymore, but it's still cool to have.

and this is a short vid we made, keep in mind, the battery is getting pretty weak in the video, and there is NO battery in the pictures.

I paid $205 for it, a 7.2v 3000mAh battery, and a crappy charger.
(good price just for the truck, battery is a plus, charger is trash)

Next I'm going to buy an $80 charger, and I just bought 2 extra batteries, another 6 cell 4200 mAh, and a 7 cell 4200mAh.

I'd say on this batt freshly charged it goes at least 20mph. I can probably get at least another 5 outta the 7 cell battery.

I've been wanting to do it with my Rustler (old Traxxas). I have a amazing speed controller in it right now, it can handle up to 32 cells (iirc). Eventually I would like to try it with a brush-less 4-6 turn motor.

Did u see that video where they used a 2 turn brush-less motor with 32 cells. It went 115mph (idk the kph).

I got a plane, but it sucked balls and I broke the propeller on it... twice.

very nice, mines old school battery and i lost the charger :(

my dad used to race these things, and he was the MC at a track... he was sponsored at 1 point, had RC cars that could do 200 MPH with enough track that costed $1500...

ppl called him the weedman, cuz our last name is weed xP

they weren't HIS, they were allan Losi's (owner of his sponsoring company) so when he was done he had 2 give them back...

I've got a revo 3.3, but it's not in running order right now.. my bro ran it *a bit* lean; the piston locked up, the crankshaft exploded, etc, etc. New engine please?

Nice set of wheels though, what's your top speed?

I think stock with a 6 cell it goes 23mph with the smaller pinion gear (don't remember what size, just what I read online)
It also came with a street pinion, its a little larger, so it'll go faster. Also, waiting on my 7 cell pack, which will also make it faster! :D

The Revo's look like awesome trucks, I wanted to get the E-Revo (electric version) but it was kinda outta my price range.

My gas powered with enough room hits 40. It got 2 gears.

also, thats a pretty sick rock crawler cripsta....well, beer crawler :p

and yeah, what car you got MylesMadness? Whenever I can afford to throw a good brushless into this and get a good lipo pack I'll be able to hit 50+ :)

but thats not for a while at least.

Its stock besides when I had to get a few new parts when the throttle stuck and it when full speed into a football players house

ah, you got a T-MAXX, I hear that's a good rig. If I ever go gas/nitro I might get one of those. Might even get the E-MAXX eventually (electric version, with 2 motors)

Fried my motor, guess the stock ones suck hard core. Ordered a better one, should be here wed or thur. pretty excite!

I got a brand new 3.3 engine yesterday, hopefully I'll have time to install it over the next week. I'll have some videos to share as soon as I'm done :D

edit: And i'm totally jealous of your revo 3.3, if I were to get a nitro car it would probably be that or the T-maxx, but probably the revo

That's the new engine. I installed it earlier today, but I haven't had a chance to burn it in, so no awesome videos quite yet :p

I used to be into racing RC cars, but electric ones, not nitro. I have a little xxx-s (Team Losi) that I bought a while back. The hobbytown near my house got new management and quit weekend races and eventually ran out of business (Damn new owners sucked... really bad.) So now I have this car and don't really know what to do with it,,, I have been thinking about putting it up on craigslist, but don't think it will go for very much.

I burned mine in in the middle on January :p. Took FOR EVER!
