I thought, maybe you might add to your first post #1, all the common errors/solutions people get (like on ur setup tut)???
took me a while to read evey post to get to #454 with the answer. just a thought.
Anyway here is my first proggy. I stopped it manually when i realised that it would not take a break until the number of logs had been reached. (might be an idea to mention that also :) )
Next to add multiple players in :) with smaller no of logs to chop. i think my 960 was a bit ambitious. lol

Yeah for that canvas error, you just have to restart SCAR. I will add that to the first post of my guide, thanks. :)
This script does have multiplayer, and it takes breaks. All that is in the player setup section. And, the longest is over 10 hours. There are several on the first post of this thread.
For the stats, when you login (after you've created the stats account), go to the profile page (top right corner), and you'll see "User ID" in bold letters, when your user ID beside it. Just enter that and the password you use to login to the stats site in the space provided in the script, and you're good to go. Okay I'll try to explain everything the best I can.
- The proggy doesn't line up properly as you can see. I've fixed this and will commit it shortly.
- Finding the bank - Does it not find the bank every time it tries? My experience cutting Oaks has worked very well, but some minimap colors could have changed.
- The "One minute has passed..." - That usually occurs when SCAR tries to log in the player (enters the username and password), but it takes longer than a minute to connect to the server.
- When using multiplayer, if you have the BREAK_TIME constant set to 1, it's not going to make a difference. I have it set up that if there is more than one player, after around an hour, it will switch to the next player instead of just breaking.
- You changed it to +/- 1 second, not one minute. I just realized I had it set to +/- 5 seconds instead of 5 minutes (I thought I fixed that a while back, but I guess not), so I've also changed that for the next version.

One thing, it seems to click trees a second time sometimes after a few seconds of chopping. I looked through the code briefly, but couldn't see a reason why. Just might be something to look into.

Thanks for the info on the timing i had setup the number of logs to chop to just be two loads, so that my 'army' of choppers will go un-noticed as they are there for such a short time. I will have a look at the hour break in the code.

And it sometimes clicks twice because of my tree cut down detection method. I have it get the color around the point clicked, and if the character moves, the point moves, and can move away from the tree. I've know about that for a while, I just don't want to mess with something that's working well. :)
EDIT: Oh, NCDS, did the script have any trouble switching players? twobac had an issue where the next player wouldn't login.

What you set the P_TOTAL_LOGS to will cut that many logs for that player, then set that player to false because the script has cut as many as you want to do. So it won't ever come back to that player. Change that line I told you to further up on the page if you want to switch players every couple loads.
ok i get it, the player total log is for the total duration of the script running, rather than to amount to chop before taking a break. I will reset this back to 1000.
I have amended the other line, but I am not sure why player 2 did not log on after player 1 failed the random?

Yes, but I think he meant make it so you can define when the switch players. Right now, it automatically switches players/breaks a single player after about an hour.

Yo, Ok so i was going to put this on for a few hours on my old PC... Problem is its old haha so this detecting randoms really bugs it (froze once had to restart computer) so could you create an option to only scan for randoms every like 10+ seconds?
because it seems to build up the the screen laggs and it keeps trying to detect then eventually break...
Also for the Oak tree chopping could you create a second option to cut JUST the oak on the right of the bank and also the tree next to it.

The problem with changing players is that SCAR was losing focus on the RS window. the only way the scrip was able to input the next player login details was to click onto SCAR then click back onto the RS window. this applies to all versions of the script. With the downloaded RS client, focus is not lost.Quote:

The last 6 players are all low WC lvls and they chop oaks, all get killed by the guards.

I would suggest that you follow the following steps.
1. follow Coh3ns tutorial on setting up Tortoise to correctly setup scar.
2. check out the latest version of the script, current version 24.
3. try to use the RS client
4. follow every line in post 1 of this thread, common error solutions can be found there :)
I would suggest you post the version of SCAR you have, the version of the script and as much info as possible to help solve the problem.
BTW neither of your questions have been asked before. As for the randoms freezing the pc, I do not think this has anything to do with the pc and probalby is a set up issue.

It works fine on my Main computer, It is the old computer, the constant scanning for randoms really holds it up(it is this houses.... everything computer many programs being run on it like skype and such.) Everything is up to date, i was using the newest version of the script aswell.

Okay, I'm about to update to revision 25. In that version, I've tweaked the Find_Randoms procedure a little. If you want it to look for randoms less, change the 20 in line 725 to something like 40 or 50. The higher the number, the less it will check for randoms:
For the Oak tree location, sorry, I probably won't be adding that any time soon. I simply don't have the time. If you just want to get your woodcutting to 30, you can use my powerchopper to do so, else use an autofighter to train up their combat.SCAR Code:temp := Random(20)

Oh yeah that would be good. I think bionicle has a firemaking script if you need to train firemaking. I'm unaware of what logs it does though.
And for my powerchopper, yeah you'll get a lot of lag probably. I don't update that nearly as much as I do this one because it's FFA. I'll tell you how to change the lag though. Open the Powerchopper, hit Ctrl + F and search for Find_Randoms. Where ever I call the Find_Randoms procedure change it to:

1 problem is the first time it got 2 loads

Yep it's working well now I'm going to let it run 1 cycle of each character I put 20 logs in all 5 of their inventories just to test its logout after 1 load, and so far it went through 2 of them nicely :P
After they're done with that I'm going to set them up for a long period and let them run a while
edit: It's gotten stuck at switching players 3 times in a row now does it wait like 5+ minutes to switch randomly or should it always be instant? I'm running a 3rd time we'll see if it does it again

Ok it's been running pretty smoothly for awhile, only problems I see is sometimes it just switches users for no reason after it doesn't find a tree.. but it switches users like 2 seconds after it doesn't find a tree randomly, normally it does NOT switch users only happened 4 times today.
It should always be right away. I have a global variable that increases by 1 every time the current player banks. And when the BREAK_AFTER constant is reached, it breaks/switches players, and resets that variable.
EDIT: I just testing with 5 players and it worked just fine. :confused:
