So what do you guys think?
Is it verizion only?
I <3 droid. My g1 is my luver.
But we may be switching networks cause tmobile over charges. So this is my nxt luver.
I thought the DROID was going to be thicker. It's a pleasant surprise. However I am disappointed with it's keyboard. It was a boring lame one.. Have fun with Android 2.0! I got a hero about 1.5 weeks ago. Love it.
Verizon charges soooo much, plan wise. Its such bs :<
Does anyone know if the "see through walls" crap is real?

Some people arn't happy with it :S
IceFire, what do you think? SOme people say they're returning it and getting the Eris.
I just got back from the Verizon store. I played with the DROID, and with the Eris. The Eris is exactly like my Hero, just a different colour.
Tbh, I couldn't stand the DROID. The virtual keyboard was terrible. I type better on the Eris/Hero (even though the DROID has 0.5 inches more screen), and the Physical keyboard wasn't centred, so one of my thumbs was kind of reaching across the phone. I found that the home screen scrolling was terrible compared to the Eris, and it only having 3 compared to my 7 was kind of like 'Wtf?!' to me.
I found it UI completely ugly tbh =\ Stock Android was horrid imo :<
The hard ware (except for the [physical] keyboard) was great though. The processor is faster. I'm sure there is more you can modify with the stock Android 2.0, so I wont be surprised if it looks much better than the Eris in a few months
I wasn't puting you down or anything, just giving my opinion :)
I really like this phone, thanks for putting it on here I have not seen it anywhere else. I'm gonna go to Verizon Wireless tomorrow to see what kind of deals they have for it. (time for a new one)
yeah, same thing I was talking about in this post...

about the unknown cap...

to bad it isn't just cell phone companies...I just carry a big jar of Vaseline with me these days as I'm pretty sure who ever I deal with is trying to F@#k me in 1 way or another...
I think Boost mobile is the best way to go with their $50 a month "unlimited" plan... to bad I still have 1+ year left on my AT@T contract :s
The Claw, a lot of things could potentially go wrong jailbreaking, i saw this one guy had to get his ipod touch replaced cause he did it wrong. Also, with android, nothing techie required, and you get FREE updates to firmware, remember 3.0 for ipod/iphone?
For the things idont. Droid does. :D
Just lets you run alot of homemade (homebrew) games.
Like emulators(GBA,PSX, etc.) and useful apps.
Upgrading firmware can be easily gotten around, I gotten 2.0 and 3.0 for free.
It's very hard to break an iPod by jailbreaking.
Now, if you drop that bitch like I did 2 hrs ago and fuck the screen up then your screwed.
